Dear Senator:

Today on July 25, 2007, during time spent at a local health department, I witnessed a case worker sign up a young couple for "special" management. The reason? The young pregnant mother and her partner were both 14 years old! This couple were illegal immigrants from El Salvador and were now going to receive months of Medicaid, free maternity and hospital care, and special home nursing visits for the duration of the pregnancy. Now, granted it is right to take care of a young teenage mother in order to facilitate a healthy pregnancy and birth outcome, but would it not have been better to prevent this sort of pregnancy in the first place?

Young illegal immigrants are coming over our borders and having children no matter what their age, no matter what their ability to care for these children, and U.S. taxpayers are footing the bill. This is an outrage. To have a child at age 14 is not something that Americans encourage with their own children or condone, yet these illegal aliens come and it is simply said to be "part of their culture." These younger illegal aliens are NOT part of the workforce that supposedly is "boosting our economy." These are CHILDREN (who are supposed to be in school, perhaps?), yet they are now having children of their own and are on complete government assistance.

Senator, I do not feel that as a U.S. taxpaying, working citizen, that I have any obligation to support teenage illegitimate pregnancy promoted by a cultural group that is not only illegal in this country, but that expects us to support them once they give birth. This is an abuse of the U.S. system and support for it through our U.S. health departments has to stop.

I ask you to vote to stop through whatever means possible providing Medicaid to illegal aliens and to support HR 1940, The Birthright Citizenship Act of 2007. This is a population which is abusing the U.S. taxpayer and will soon, through their out of control birthrate, bankrupt the state and federal treasuries of the United States. This is illegitimacy, something that as Americans we do not promote or the welfare dependence and perpetuation of a low socioeconomic class that it creates.

Thank you for your time and, in addition, please continue to vote in every way possible, for the enforcement of our existing immigration laws as well.
