    How to stop 7-Eleven?

Has anyone been part of a successful effort to block a 7-Eleven store, or does anyone have any news links reporting such an effort? On Long Island, 7-Elevens usually become de facto hiring halls, and in general, 24 hour loitering spots for illegals. The middle-eastern owners of the 7-elevens have no ties to the local community and are happy to sell to the illegals, and therefore there is no incentive on their part to clean up their act. 7-Elevens are a spreading cancer. There is an application on file to open a 7-Eleven in a neighborhood near me, and I'd be very interested in knowing about any preventive strategies that have worked elsewhere.

Have not come across this out here. The 7-11's around do not have illegals standing around for jobs, the locations are not good for that.

Although there is one in a the neighborhood with the largest amount of illegals here, and you see a lot of gang looking guys and such, I presumed there may be some drug dealings.

As for blocking a store from being opened, you should talk to groups across the nation who have successfully blocked WalMarts, they would have the know how.

We had 7-11's and then White Hen bought them out and now they're going back to 7-11's......They aren't hang outs here even though they are robbed about once a week. My opinion on that is White Hen had more employees on, where 7-11 likes the bare bones method. One employee is no threat or worry vs 3 like they had before. I haven't heard of too many people being able to veto a business....they always manage to stick it in one way or another and the people don't matter.

You may want to voice your concerns at a City Council meeting. Bring it out in the open. Talk about the fact that many convenience stores, like 7-11 are target areas for illegal aliens hiring and how this can destroy a community and invites criminal activity too. Do they want the possibility of illegal aliens loitering and people coming in and out picking up strangers and competing with local businesses that have respect for the law? They may change ordinances, codes to avoid this from occurring. Let them know that citizens will contact ICE to report any areas that become attractions for illegal aliens. Avoid the magnets that draw illegal aliens.

Write a letter to your local paper/s about this.

Look for like minded people and organize a boycott of the store...sounds good to me any way.
We can't deport them all ? Just think of the fun we could have trying!

I'm all for you curtailing day labor sites in your town, but don't see that the 7-11 corporation is an appropriate target. Large chains with minimal local connections are a fact of life in most of the country. I'd suggest being more direct by going after the illegal activity. Local law enforcement can watch for public urination, trespassing on neighboring properties, obstructing traffic, and so on. This should be done wherever there's a problem, at locally owned and operated stores as well as chain convenience stores.

It would be asking a lot to expect your local ICE office to do anything about employers of day laborers who don't have permission to work, but you might complain to them anyway, just so they know there is sentiment for enforcing the laws.

Going after 7-Eleven might mean you just deny your neighborhood of a new store.

Your best bet in dealing with the owners of 7-11's is to find out where their actual community is. Often you can locate the owner-operator through records searches or internet searches. Then, publicize the info to the appropriate audience. I had a similar problem here, and the owner was co-operating with the illegals lobby. I began posting pictures of his community including his home, plus his address and such to the community that was patronizing and making use of his store. My thinking was that if these people are good enough to expose to his customers and my neighborhood, they should be OK to know his. It helped for awhile.
It will not be enough to send a letter. We will have to march on washington and dictate terms in the white house
