revised website
Windows in your new website are so wide I have to scroll right and left constantly to read everything. I wonder whether you are aware of this; it takes extra time and is a nuisance. My monitor is a flat-screen type, 5 years old. Maybe I need a new monitor? Maybe a lot of other people are having to scroll right and left too? I'm glad you were able to get new and better equipment; hope this scrolling problem can be worked out.

Usually this problem is caused by links in the text. Back when I was a moderator here I spent a LOT of time shortening links so the pages stayed within the limits of the screen. I used toolbot to shorten them but tinyurl works just as well.
Just a suggestion for the current moderator staff.

Have you ever tried using Opera's browser? Towards the upper-right corner there's a view icon(usually an eye or glasses) click that and then the fit to width button - it's one of the handier features, along with the built-in notepad etc., I've got a new and good sized monitor but still ended up scrolling left to right on many websites
And it's free http://www.opera.com/

1. Any moderator can open a new tab and go to www.link.toolbot.com
2. Cut the offending link from the first post it appears in and paste it into the window.
3. Click "Make it short" and copy the new link
4. Copy the new link and paste it into the space where the old link was
5. Check the rest of the thread for quotes of the offending link, deleting it and replacing it with the shortened version.
6. Voila! No more over-extended text.

I have the same problem, but every page. I would say about 3 out of 5 pages I have to scroll back and forth to read. And I am NOT on large text.

i have noticed this, too, and it's very hard to read some posts. It's only on some that this happens.

YOu could try increasing your resolution. I'm on 1280x1024 and I rarely have this problem, but my text is somewhat smallish.
Right click somewhere on your desktop (but not on an icon). Click on properties, then setting and you'll see screen resolution, try making it a large number by sliding it to the right. Some websites are setup to be displayed at certain resolutions (usually 1024x768 or higher).
