    Romney supports 287(g) training

Mitt Romney supports enforcement of federal immigration laws by state and local officers. He supports Section 287(g) training of those officers so that they can arrest illegal aliens for violations of federal immigration laws.

My state will not do that. The only thing that will make the states listen is no funding for the state for education or roads if they are a sanctuary city. He has also promised that will happen.

I would have to call what you're are doing spamming. Why do you insist on cluttering the forum with tons of posts, each only identifying a single issue? Why not just come out and list all the things you like about Romney on one post?

As for the topic of this post. Not one law enforcement officer from Mass. received 287(g) training. Romney didn't authorize the program until he knew he was on his way out as governor of Mass. He also knew his replacement would cancel the program. Yes, I'm suggesting Romney only authorized the program to strengthen his resume as a presidential candidate. What slick politician wouldn't have done the same given the opportunity?

    My response would be:

    Exactly right.

It is not Mitt Romney's fault that the new governor cancelled the training.

It is also not Mitt Romney's fault that the federal government took months and months before it even agreed to sign an agreement with the state of Massachusetts for 287(g) training. If the federal government had promptly agreed to Gov. Romney's request for 287(g) training for Massachusetts state troopers, there would have been many state troopers trained before he left office.

Mitt Romney strongly supported 287(g) training while governing one of the most, if not the most, liberal state in the nation, Massachusetts.
