Garza: Bush to reward illegals, their families & employe

Garza: Bush against fencing off border

A proposal in the U.S. Congress calls for the construction of a high-tech wall with lights and sensors from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico.

Erecting a 2,000-mile-long wall along the United States' southern border or taking similar measures are unrealistic solutions to illegal immigration, U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Tony Garza said Thursday.

"President Bush is working with the Congress to reform our immigration laws, and to create a new structure that benefits immigrants who want to work, their families, and the employers who hire them," Garza said at a meeting with Texas reporters in Mexico.

"The president," Garza added, "is aware of the concerns of critics who would like to build a wall around the United States. As the former governor of Texas, he knows that such proposals are both unrealistic and undesirable."

The principal concern of both President Bush and Ambassador Garza is not supposed to be the immigrants, their familiies or the emplyers who choose to hire them it is supposed to be the citizens of this country. That Americans are not even in the equation speaks worlds of them.

I had forgotten all about the Ambassador's recent marriage. Oh well, hang THAT one UP. No--a Kennedy sure won't do. Let's think. WHAT ABOUT YOU?? You're a good Irish Lass. You would make a crack Ambassador to Mexico. We could be your aide-de-camps--whatever the hell that is!!!

Oooh, I'd love that. I'd get down there and straighten out real quick!!

First, I burn all those guides.

Second, I'd back charge them for all the expense of rounding up their citizens and hauling them back to Mexico. If they don't pay, we'd deduct it from their "aid" checks and "transfer payments".

Third, I'd charge a Tourist Tax that Americans would have to pay before they head to Mexico. Then the Mexicans might appreciate our business a bit more than they seem to presently.

Fourth, I wouldn't let their Consulates attend any official meetings. They would have to stay in their buildings.

Fifth, I would open an investigation for all Mexican records concerning illegal employment of Mexicans in the United States to nail illegal networks which I believe are conspired and supported by the Mexican Government.

Sixth, I would put troops on the border with a 2 shot warning and if they enter our territory, then they would construed as an enemy invader and incur the consequences of entering our sovereign territory without permission or invitation.

Seventh, I would put those organizations handing out water in the desert on notice that they can only aid from the Mexico side and they would lose their citizenship in the US if they exercise that election. Take it or leave.

I think it is evident that Mr Garza doesnt realize that President Bushes approval rating is in the tiolet and it has to do with his lame excuses and his pandering to non citzens and wanting to grant amnesty to millions law breakers! They just dont get it and never will, i think the fence is a good idea like the one in Israel. It is removable at that time when Palestine becomes more peaceful and we can do the same.

Richard, you are so right in what you said above.

    Also from the article:

Quote:"The president," Garza added, "is aware of the concerns of critics who would like to build a wall around the United States. As the former governor of Texas, he knows that such proposals are both unrealistic and undesirable."

Is Garza the new Press Secretary ? What happened to Scott McClellan ?

"Aware of the concerns of critics" Mr. Garza, we are not "critics", we are the "citizens" of this country.

Get your facts straight. Stop talking for the president. That's NOT your job.
