May Day, once an ancient holiday celebrating the coming of the summer months, has now become an excuse for communists, socialists, and anarchists to protest and riot under the guise of workers' rights.
While cities across the United States hosted large protests, the protest in Durham, North Carolina, took a very interesting turn after one man and his diesel-powered Dodge Ram decided not to let them interrupt his plans.

According to ABC11, a large group of protesters was blocking South Mangum Street in downtown Durham, right in front of the Durham County Jail, when the pickup truck approached.
The group, carrying signs and banners, tried to block the driver with their bodies, but he refused to stop, slowly driving forward and revving his engine.

One of the “safety marshals,” Christine Hawn, was not pleased with the driver's antics:
“There were kids there and people with different mobilities that were not able to pick up and move.”
Other marshals described the moment to ABC11 as “scary.”
But before anyone could stop it, the truck was seen driving off into the sunset, never to be seen again:

Luckily, no one was hurt in the confrontation, and the protest continued. The protesters carried signs supporting workers' rights, raising the minimum wage, immigrants' rights, and better treatment for inmates at the jail.
The group then moved on to the city council chambers, where the members let the protestors shout their demands until they found something else to protest.
