CA Alert! California's version of the "DREAM" Act passed the legislature.
Tell Governor Schwarzenegger to veto SB 1!

The ever-increasing cost of higher education is squeezing California's middle class families, yet the state legislature has voted to give scarce financial aid dollars to illegal alien students. SB 1 by state Senator Gil Cedillo would take us a step further in blurring the lines between those who are here legally and those who broke our immigration laws.

SB 1 would penalize students who are citizens or legal immigrants by reducing the financial aid available to them. The legislative analysis showed that this bill would cost millions of dollars per year.


In 2006 Governor Schwarzenegger vetoed a similar bill, SB 160, also by Cedillo. The Governor stated, "California has over 100,000 students here legally who apply annually for financial aid to attend college, and our state has limited funds available for this important purpose."



The Governor got it right then. Encourage him to again veto this bill.

What in the he.. is going on in California? How does a bill like this get passed by the elected legislative body?

Yes, please call or e-mail the governor to veto it. I read an article last week that quoted Fabian Nunez as saying he believes the California Dream Act will become law.

California is ran by Mexico, through La Raza, Mecha and other groups supporting the Latin people living in this state legally and illegally.

I called the Governator. Guess what? He's got the old press 1 for English, press 2 for Spanish BS! Why not press 3 for German? Why not press 4 for Cambodian? Why not press 5 for Chinese? Why not press 6 for Italian?
