It seems that the illegals, if granted amnesty, will be able to use workl credit for SS while they were in an illegal status. I think all of the Senate has gone stark raving mad!!! How do we stop them from giving our country to Mexico?

A recent report moved the year in which Social Security will go broke from 2041 to 2040. Congress cannot afford to keep the promise of Social Security to its own citizens, let alone illegal workers.

To remedy the situation, Sen. John Ensign (R-NV) has offered an amendment to the pending Senate immigration bill that would reverse this law to ensure that law-breakers are not rewarded for their past work at the expense of immigrants who have waited in line and American citizens.

When I read this on the SSA website last week, I got literally sick. We are being raped and pilaged from within! I doubt there will be any problem for illegals to come up with a few more papers to prove how long they've been here.

And most of the illegals who do pay into SS and Medicare claim so many dependents that no taxes are taken from their checks and they don't file tax returns OR they file and get EIC!

Didn't someone mention a tax break in July? Where we would raise our dependent number so no taxes are taken out? I'm ready for it.

The SOCIAL SECURITY issue is in the "agreements" re:
NAFTA/CAFTA/FTAA

Done deal as far as they're concerned.
The ONLY step that is preventing it from fruition is this IMMIGRATION BILL

OMG!!!

And just how, exactly, are they going to claim the SS monies they may, or may not have, put into that system? Will they need to reveal to the SSA the multiple ficticious SS#s they have used to gain employment over the years? Or, as I fear, will the SSA simply be told to take their word for it.

I cannot believe this is actually happening. Someone PLEASE wake me up from this nightmare!

There method of circumventing the issue of being ILLEGAL is all in the gobbledygook of the bill's amendments.

That's why we're keeping close eye on them.

Basically, in laymen's terms, they'll be able to CLAIM their time as an ILLEGAL which is fraught with loopholes for fraud.

A wink and a nod.............and our SS goes to MEX-I-CO.

Congress critters, who already have a much better retirement systen than the social socurity many of us have to rely upon (I don't know many folks who have any pension, 401k, etc offered by their employer) have raided OUR money for many years, taking funds from SS and using OUR money elsewhere.

Just one of MANY MANY MANY MANY instances of the elite class spitting in our faces and those elites expecting us to smile and say "Thank you."
