    Tulsa Rally!

Hi everyone, what a wonderful way to celebrate cinco de mayo by being at a Minutemen Rally in Tulsa, OK. It was INVIGORATING and awesome. More people came than at the rally last year on May 1!!!!! I got to meet Jim Gilchrist which was great and I was able to tape a little bit of him speaking. As soon as I get it downloaded I will be sure to share it with you. One man came up to me and asked for information because he wants a copy of what I taped to spread it around the internet!

I couldn't get much because the memory card is not that big but I did get some. Mr. Gilchrist came up to me toward the end and we chatted a little bit about the issue then he said I should take my daughter and get going because the mexicans across the street were going to be heading over soon and it would be dangerous. They (the mexicans) threw an egg at a little girl and NOTHING was done, even though the police were right there.

As I was leaving I saw three officers just standing there and I proceeded to tell them in a firm voice "we are also doing this to stop the political correctness that has infiltrated our police departments so you guys (pointing to them) can stop this bullsh@@!" I met some very patriotic and great people there.

I do have to say when one car stopped, a woman said I'm not from mexico so I said "you mean you're an anchor baby", she said no, I was born right here in Oklahoma, and I said "yes, that's an anchor baby dear"!

My 6 yr old was a real trooper and kept asking me what are they doing with their fingers. I told her they were flipping us off. They just love that middle finger, hopefully it will fall off one day.

I will post the video as soon as I get it downloaded.

Cheers my fellow Patriots! I am in an AWESOME mood!

Wow, that's incredible. It is amazing how good it feels to act instead of sitting by the sidelines.

Can wait to see the video.

I figured you guys could get a better picture by the website.

They had their mexican flags up for a while then had their American flags out. Made it look good when the media arrived. The mexican crowd grew larger as time went by.

I talked to Jim last week, I just transfrered my MinuteMen Civil Defense Corp, membership to OK, from CA, I`m not sure which chapter I`ll be assigned to yet, most likely OKC.

    Thanks!

I tell you what... It was truly exhilarating and I couldn't have spent my Saturday any other way.

I do have a problem though.

My video is so large that I cannot upload it to you tube or photobucket, nor can I send it via email. It is 962 mb and I'm at a loss as to what to do. We have HP Photosmart Essential but I can't do anything to this video except to watch it.

Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated so so much.

Being face to face with Jim Gilchrist was like meeting a super star only 1000% better. You can literally see the passion in his eyes and his heart is in this completely. What a true American!

Again, any help to get this video out there would be wonderful.

    Minutemen Rally In Tulsa
    KOTV - 5/5/2007 4:15 PM - Updated 5/5/2007 9:55 PM
Anti-immigration activists hold a Cinco de Mayo rally on Saturday. Dozens of members of the Tulsa Minutemen Project voiced their opposition to illegal aliens. The News On 6’s Chris Wright reports they were also there to support a bill now sitting on the governor's desk.

"We are not against immigration, we are against illegal immigration, that's what we stand for," Ron Damph with the Tulsa Minutemen Project said.

Hours before the American Dream Coalition took to the streets, members of the Tulsa Minutemen Project wanted to get their point across too. Waving flags, carrying signs, and asking for honks of support, the group hopes its demonstration stems the tide of illegal immigrants.

"Illegal immigration is hurting our jobs, our families, it's costing us in healthcare, it's costing us in education, it's going to sink the ship so to speak if we don't sustain our borders," Minutemen Dr. Mike Ritze said.

One of the Minutemen's founders, California native Jim Gilchrist, also attended the rally. He voiced his support for House Bill 1804, passed by state lawmakers earlier this week.

"We look at this bill as the vanguard that's going to lead other states to introducing and passing similar bills," Minutemen founder Jim Gilchrist said.

Governor Henry has yet to say if he will sign the bill into law. If passed, it would, among other things, make it a crime to harbor or hire an illegal alien. While those opposed to the bill have called it misguided and unenforceable, the Minutemen say it is exactly what this country needs.

"1804 is an exciting bill that we hope that the governor takes a strong look at and does sign this bill," said Damph.

The Minutemen tell us they are staunch supporters of law enforcement. But, if HB 1804 is passed, its members say they are willing to defend Oklahoma's borders themselves to make sure the law is enforced
