Mar del Plata, Argentina -- President Bush has said immigration reform ranks near the top of his second-term agenda, but he and Mexican President Vicente Fox passed up an opportunity this weekend to discuss the controversial issue at a hemispheric summit here.
The decision raises new questions about whether Bush will be able to push through Congress a guest-worker program that is dividing members of his own party.
"He wasn't interested, and I wasn't, either," Fox said in an interview published Saturday in Clarin, a leading Argentine newspaper. "Why would we have a meeting just to have one? When we have important issues before us, we deal with them."
This article makes me sick. When they have something IMPORTANT to discuss? That jerk better wake up or he's liable to be discussing something as important as tanks on the border to stop the invasion of his people into our country one of these days.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I don't know what Bush thought he would accomplish in Argentina anyway. And you know what, since Chavez is against CAFTA I may just take a shine to that guy!
Do you get news your way about how the Mexicans demonstrate on the bridges when it's time to take the crops in because of NAFTA? Apparently, American workers aren't the only ones who get shafted by these half-baked trade agreements.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Oh--THAT is the truth. It is NOT helping the countries it's supposed to help. ANY OF THEM. It's good for the big men, bad for the people.

WHOA! I'm listening to the news here as I type and cook and wash clothes all at the same time. Seems that Fox and Chavez have crossed swords. How very interesting. I'm off to see if I can find an article.

I did finally hear a little clip of Fox's interview on CNN last night and just CRINGED to listen to him talk! But, one thing that I felt needed to be corrected. When Chavez stated that Fox was Bush's PUPPY, I think he was wrong. I really believe it's the other way around. Fox is the one who's always telling BUSH what to do--NOT the other way around.
There was a poll that came out yesterday and one of the questions was whether Bush was doing enough about illegal immigration and 65% said he wasn't. That is a LOT and there are MANY Republicans who are beginning to see that he just is NOT going to do anything."POWER TENDS TO CORRUPT AND ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY." Sir John Dalberg-Acton
