Mexico has discovered a huge new oil reserve that will increase its production capacity by nearly 50 percent, President Vicente Fox said Monday night - explaining that he intends to discuss how he'll use his new oil bonanza when he meets with President Bush in two weeks.

"We have excellent news that we will be announcing in a couple of weeks from now," Fox told MSNBC's "Rita Cosby Live and Direct."

He described the find as "a huge new reserve of oil and natural gas in the Gulf of Mexico that belongs to Mexicans" and noted that in his upcoming meeting with Bush, "energy is a key for our discussions."

Fox said his country's largest oil reserve is Cantarell, which is rapidly depleting. "This new reserve that we just have found will totally replace Cantarell with even more quantity then what originally Cantarell had," he told Cosby.

Yep and Chenney is licking his lips too, just waiting for more Hurricanes.

I knew having El Busto in the big office was going to be a Oil and Gas nightmare.

Ok, I heard rumors of of an oil find in Mexico back when Bush was miraculousy re-elected. Fox met with Bush shortly after the re-election. I strongly believe the oil find in Mexico has a whole lot to do with our open borders. They've made a deal. It works out great for our oil baron president because Big Money gets cheap labor and the oil industry gets in on the oil in Mexico. The U.S. has been sold out by our unethical and greedy leaders.

Everyone said the war was all about the oil....well it isn't the oil in the middle east....it's the oil right under our nose's it's in Mexico. So Bush will sell us down the drain, for his almighty oil instead of spending money for other options.

In recent years, the Mexican people have pressured their president to seek improvements in immigration policy with the U.S. During his first term, Bush, in an attempt to improve relations with Mexico, promised Mexico President Fox that he would propose a guest worker program, which he did. President Fox was happy, as were some Mexicans who still live in Mexico.

Very interesting, little known details: Mexico banned foreign investment in its energy industry back in 1938. Since that time, Mexican oil production has been controlled by the ineffective, polluting and corrupt state monopoly, Pemex. If Mexico opened itself to the exploration and development of its oil resources by American entrepreneurs and technology, Mexican oil might someday displace Arab oil from the U.S. market altogether. Of course, before Mexico agrees to anything like this, the United States might need to make some immigration reforms. And this could explain why Bush has betrayed some of his conservative supporters, proposing a new guest worker program favoring Mexican laborers.

We have more oil in Alaska than Mexico but our own congress has prevented it from being pumped.

Why has the congress prevented Alaskan Oil from being produced?

There is no oil shortage. We have all the oil we could ever use up in Alaska and I am not talking about ANWAR.

In 1976, Arco discovered the largest oil find in the world on the North Slope of Alaska!!!

According to Arco oil executives in 1976; ” In my estimation, from the seismographic work and the drillings we have already done, I am convinced that there is as much oil under the North Slope of Alaska as there is in all of Saudi Arabia”.

Read Lindsey Williams book, The Energy Non-Crisis, for your self at this website:
    http://www.reformation.org/energy-non-crisis.html

Arco discovered 4 oil fields in 1976 Gull Island, Kuparuk, Prudoe and ANWR. These oil discoveries could make this country Energy Independent from foreign oil.

Gull Island has been capped by our own Government and turned into a nature preserve for Sea Gulls. Estimates are that it is the richest oil field on the face of the earth.

We are being told that only way out of this mess is alternative energy like ethanol or hydrogen.

Politicians blame big oil but it is in fact the Congress that is responsible for locking us out of the vast oil reserves in Alaska and I want to know why we continue to import foreign oil.
Is this Mexico or the USA

Mexico and many South American countries have been oil rich since the fifties. I was born in Venezuela while my dad was working their as a driller.

    Trinidad has newly discovered reserves.

This is part of it. We had the technology for discovery, drilling and production of oil and gas. All of these countries all over the world would have never figured it out. We taught them how and it got taken away from us and they use our science. Now we have to "bargain" with human beings to get any of it.

Well I guess how much Bush can fill his pocket's with more money from oil means more to him then the United States. It's a crock if any one thinks he is doing it for the good of the country not to have to depend on the middle east.

Really.......I don't think there's one thing that crosses his mind that gets beyond the funds in his pocket.

How much money is ENOUGH money anymore? Is POWER the next step? After that....what is it? There's no excuse on the face of the earth for starvation or anything else. Greed is.

    Who is in control?

Once again this government has placed greed and profit above the best interests of the American people. Americans need to send this worthless, inept, incompetent, impotent, narco-empire, Mexican mafia controlled Congress and the Mr Ed's posterior of an administration on a PERMANENT guess worker program to Mexico.
