Some of you are currently in the military, or are veterans. It seems to me that I saw a documentary on the First Gulf War once about how the U.S. Military put up temporary fencing (I think they unrolled it off of large trucks) to help guard certain encampments during that war. The fencing was pretty durable and it was maybe 10 feet high (I'm guessing). I don't know if it could stop vehicles, but it would be a deterrent for pedestrians, as I recall.

Does this sound like something that our military possesses, or was I just having a strange dream? If it is true, why not "Unroll" temporary fencing along certain parts of our border until the true fencing can be built?

PS: I live in the Baltimore/DC area and along our beltways we have those walled sound barriers to help keep the traffic noise away from the adjoining houses. They are probably at least fifteen or twenty feet high and come in "squares" that are unloaded off of a large truck and with the help of a crane hoisted in place. I've never touched one but they look like they could take the impact of a vehicle. Why not use something like that along our border? They could be put up reasonably quickly.
