Ever think we are not using our biggest most powerful weapon - prayer?

We, who believe, have the most powerful weapon in the universe at our disposal? Are we really using it.

Speaking for myself - I don't - well sometimes when I think about it.

Maybe if we truly pray, we will come up with some solution that will work. If we truly pray for our lawmakers and other people in power, it could make a difference.

I am not a church going person, but I do know prayer works. It has - but always the situation had to be very critical. I think God thought I should be able to handle the lesser stuff.

Is it critical enough -

I was afraid it would offend or I would sound like a hypocrite.

While I want the illegals gone, and I want them gone now. I want it done legally. I don't want it to devolve into something very ugly and very bad for both us and them.

I am not a church going person either. I feel like there are a lot of hypocrites in church, although not all of the people who go to church. I do however read the bible, and probably not as much as I should.

I have had the same experience with prayer. I think that maybe God wants us to figure out the small stuff on our own as part of the learning process before he intervenes and answers our prayers, because I also found that he answers my prayers, it seems, when things only start to get really tough. Although another thing which worked for me in getting more of my prayers answered is to believe and have faith. I feel that if you pray, and don't really believe or have faith that your prayer will be answered, that you're pretty much canceling out the prayer. The bible mentions how you must believe. Having faith that it will be done is very important, at least the way I understand it and from my own experience.

Also, it's weird, that today I happened to be talking more than usual about the bible. I guess the Easter spirit must have brought that out in me today or something.
