My Farewell To John Hughes
I'm not a big fan of Hollywood personalities, but I am deeply saddened tonight by the passing of John Hughes at the age of 59.
John Hughes was my favorite screen writer and director of all time.
His movies have meant more to me in life than any other films. John Hughes wrote for a generation... my generation and he made my teen years much more survivable.
My favorite movies of his were Vacation (1983), Sixteen Candles (1984), The Breakfast Club (1985), Weird Science (1985), Pretty in Pink and Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987), Some Kind of Wonderful (1987), Uncle Buck (1989), and of course Christmas Vacation (1989)!
Thank you John for your contributions to America. Millions of people are saddened tonight by your passing and looking back at old movie clips and posting in your honor.
