We need a Tancredo for President website.

There are numerous potential candidates for president in 2008 that have websites devoted to supporting the proposition that a particular potential candidate should run for the office of president of the United States or be "drafted" by a particular political party for that office. Some of these websites support elected officials that have virtually no chance of being elected president. There is even an Olympia Snowe for President website.
In case you don't believe me, here is a link to that website: http://www.olympiasnowe2008.com/ . However, I am not aware of any website that urges Cong. Tancredo to run for president of the United States in 2008. What can be done to change that and start a Tancredo for President website that will provide information to potential supporters of Cong. Tancredo about his accomplishments and his positions on issues?

Absolutely!! This is a must. How can we do it? We need someone really computer literate, which would not be me; however, I may know a few people who could and would do it. IT HAS TO BE A SUPER GREAT WEB SITE!!

Yea, after we straighten President Bush's "agenda" out, we will straighten the Republican Party out and let them see, we want Tom Tancredo. We'll show them they can either sit on the beach under an umbrella....or ride the wave in to victory!!!! We're going to start doing things a lot differently in America now, we're going to do things according to the "Will of the People". It's a new concept for Washington. It'll take time. But when it comes to money and power....they're fast learners!!

What's first? A website designer? We need to find a volunteer website designer. Let's start looking. First though, I have some 'illegal work " (emails, letters) to do the next couple of days for us here. I've been talking here instead of emailing and faxing, and I really have some work to catch up on.

I wanted to try to start a thread with "THINGS TO DO" for us, so we can go there and see right away what we need to do.

I will start immediately though in looking. I don't think it will take long.

    Thank you for your response.

I wish I had the computer skills to start a Tancredo for President website.

Frosty Woodridge makes the case for Tancredo for President :

How long can we allow our leaders to take us down this path to self destruction?

America is in deep trouble. We need to replace 33 senators in the 2006 elections because they are deadwood. We need to replace the House of Representatives in that same election with men and women who will change course. We need to promote statesmen like Tom Tancredo for President of the United States. Go to www.teamamericapac.org and www.newfrontierscoalition.org to get the ball started in your state. If we don’t change the captain and crew of the Titanic, we’ll end up like the Titanic.

Write for that 28-point action letter to stop this nation-destroying madness.
Does anybody know what those 28 points are?

DO NOT WORRY. I THINK IT WILL BE JUST ONE MORE "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" FOR US SHORTLY.

When there's a WILL there's a WAY! (Other than my father I'm not sure whose saying this is)

Step 1. We must find out tomorrow, if possible (at least by Monday), how one creates a website. Then meet me back here. Okay?

If the powers that be want him?

Tancredo for president? Anything is possible but who are the big shots running the Republican Party and do they really want thim? $$$$$$$$
Who really funds the Republican party? The Democrats have gone so wacky that Dean is running the party so who will fund and support Tancredo?

Power =Money.......and money=power....some politicans get wealthy when elected and some wealthy people use their wealth to buy a political position. It takes a million just for a Congressional seat does it not? (never enough money for schools and roads right? lol)

Tancredo could do it if he gets the money and the support of enough people with power and $$$$

    Tom Tancredo for president?

The District 6 incumbent is known as an outspoken critic of illegal immigrants and border policies that allow undocumented workers to stay in this country. That's the reason Bonnie Eggle of Cadillac, Michigan, is going for Tancredo. "He's not out searching for votes; he's getting votes from people who believe in him," says Eggle, whose only son, Kris, was murdered on the Mexican border in August 2002.

Kris Eggle, a park ranger assigned to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in southern Arizona, was killed while assisting U.S. Border Patrol agents in apprehending Mexican drug smugglers. Today Bonnie Eggle runs a website, named for her fallen son, that focuses on border issues -- and she feels Tancredo is the only politico paying adequate attention.

Does Tom Tancredo want to be president? Quizzed about a potential candidacy, the Littleton Republican says that every senator and representative secretly dreams of the Oval Office when they look in the mirror in the morning. And if there's still no progress on immigration policies by the next campaign, Tancredo admits he might consider "putting a toe in the water" -- but only if it would advance the debate.

In the meantime, he's received calls from election boards in California, Georgia and Colorado asking whether Tancredo-for-president votes can be counted. Although he's declined so far, "it's nonetheless quite flattering," he says.

Tancredo, the grandson of Italian immigrants, is chairman of the Immigration Reform Caucus. For him, reform would consist of militarizing the border by doubling the Border Patrol's force on the line or actually bringing in the military, as well as an intense crackdown on employers of illegal workers to remove the incentive for people who sneak across the border.

According to Polly Baca, executive director of the Denver-based Latin American Research and Service Agency, Tancredo's ideas have more holes than the border itself. "It's totally unrealistic, and it's a fantasy world," she says. "If Tancredo would get his wish, he'd totally destroy our economy in Colorado." This state relies on the cheap labor that Latino immigrants provide for picking crops, cooking meals and making beds for tourists, she points out.

That doesn't deter Larry Vance. The 48-year-old utility worker lives less than a mile from the Mexican border in Arizona, and while he talks over the phone about his write-in vote for Tancredo, he watches Border Patrol agents chase a group of illegal immigrants.

"It's kind of a slap in the face at Republicans for not doing something with the border," he says of his presidential choice.

Tancredo thinks Republicans won't touch the border issue because they don't want to anger big businesses that need cheap labor. And Democrats, he adds, won't touch the issue because they want the Latino vote.

    Thank you, Mr. President.

Tom Tancredo for President - Commentary

    No to Condoleezza Rice.

    No to Newt Gingrich.

    No to Haley Barbour.

That's what I've been saying in recent commentaries about presidential candidates for 2008.

Naturally, some readers are asking me for an alternative.

I've thought about this a great deal.

Hillary Clinton is likely to be the choice of the Democratic Party. She is a dangerous demagogue who could, as president for four years, complete the destruction of this country begun during the eight years her husband held office.

    She must be stopped.

While I have no faith in the Republican Party, given its pitiful track record since grabbing the presidency and control of Congress, it probably represents the only chance to limit the damage the federal government is wreaking on our country ever day.

My preference would be a new party. My preference would be to build an alternative to the Republican-Democratic political trap. But time is short. I don't see this happening in 2008.

Unless a person with charisma, money and convictions – someone like Mel Gibson – arose to the challenge of an independent bid for the presidency in 2008, like it or not, we will be faced with a choice between a Democrat and a Republican.

Therefore, freedom-loving, security-conscious Americans need to rally behind a Republican candidate of principle and courage – someone who will speak to the core issues facing us all today.

In my humble opinion, there is one man who fills that bill – Rep. Tom Tancredo of Colorado.

He's a maverick. He marches to the beat of his own drummer. He's not afraid to criticize members of his own party – including his president. And that's what I love about him.

There is no one else in Congress or in national public life who has provided better leadership on the No. 1 national-security issue confronting the United States – the border and immigration policy.

Tancredo's prescription isn't radical – though it might seem that way based on the reaction of the Big Media and establishment politicians in both parties. What Tancredo is advocating are common-sense principles being implemented in nations all over the world – including in supposedly "progressive" Europe.

It's real simple. A nation without borders ceases to be a nation. That is the threat we face with 20 million illegal aliens already here and more pouring over the border every day.

I believe this is such a hot-button issue with the American people that Tancredo, a distinguished but otherwise obscure member of the House of Representatives could actually win.

But even if he doesn't win, it is imperative that the issues he raises get a national debate before 2008. The Minuteman Project has thrust the issue before the American people. All over the country, local and state officials are taking action against illegal aliens because they recognize the threat they pose to our freedom and our security. Tancredo has done an admirable job winning over many colleagues in the House.

However, it may take a national political campaign to save this country from the looming disaster illegal immigration and open borders represent.

That's why I am urging Tom Tancredo to make the run. I simply don't know of any other candidate in a position to make the case effectively.

    Will he do it?

On my nationally syndicated radio show, he went so far as to say he would if no other candidate emerged to champion this issue.

We need to encourage Tom Tancredo to gear up, raise the money he needs to get his campaign going, start organizing. We need to let him know we will back him. And we need to mean it.

You may say, "Farah's it's only 2005. Why are you obsessing over the 2008 presidential race?" Because it takes planning to win. And I want America to win in 2008.

    Tom Tancredo for president.

How do you like the sound of that?

I would be willing to donate some money to help get the website off the ground. I assume that once the website is up, paypal or something similar
could be used to collect funds.

I am a Chicano (Mexican American) who has long been tired of the illegal alien problem. From my point of view, we will see dramatically increased social and economic problems in the future do to the promotion (by default) of an underclass population of Mexicans who actually hate the USA and are being led to believe that the Southwest "actually" belongs to them as AZTLAN.

This idea is extant in many places among Mexicans and is very dangerous for its obvious implications. Basically, illegals are getting the convenient mind-set that they actually belong here despite what our laws say. To many Mexicans the Gringo "stole" their land ... and they mean to take it back by flooding the USA and ignoring our laws.

I only see Tom Tancredo as the only voice we have with the courage to confront the American destroying menace from Mexico. If he were to run for president, I (and my wife) would enthusiastically support him.

    Please run, Tom!
