    Californians: check this out!

Just out of curiosity, I went to Google and put in illegal immigration and California schools because I'm interested in seeing if our 80% hispanic population in Southern California schools is lessening at all with the current ICE raids. Here's the Google link of results:

    http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=n ... ia+schools

There were 136 hits. I'm not sure if my link will work for you. You may have to put in the words as I did. I also went to Rand the other day for the student numbers, but I won't be able to compare until this school ends. My former middle school (where I taught) was 25% hispanic (mostly free lunch) 6 years ago. Now it is 80% and just unrecognizable. I hope so much that Calif. has a chance to survive.

I believe it. I live near a school and I passed by it not long ago when it was getting out and I swear to God, 90% of them were Hispanics. I saw only two students that appeared to be anglo-white. Living in California, you just know that many of them had to be illegals or anchors.

I live in Southern California and have worked the school districts for years. I can tell you that it's mostly Hispanic and the free lunches they give away is mind boggling. If you see a white kid on campus, they glow!

I worked on the switchboard, and I had to transfer 50% of the calls to the back office for someone to speak Spanish to them. When I'd walk to the office, I'd pass the kids, all talking Spanish, standing near their books written in Spanish...I'd come home and tell my husband I thought I was dyslexic because of all the Spanish names and my inability to pronouce them.

We're just sick over this and what has happened to this great state. No one seems to care.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

I'm not surprized. So many places are unrecognizable. I am a native Southern Californian. Its just sickening what has been allowed to happen to this state. Truly sickening.

Sorry to be a pessimist but I believed 10 years ago that California was lost as an American state, while in fact my state of Texas is staggering and they only wait for us to fall so they can pick the bones clean as the buzzards do along our highways.

The wealthy corporations of our country continue to make huge amounts of money with the slave trade and due to of a lack of morals see nothing wrong with the practice.

For me as a veteran my family/ancestors who have fought in every war since the beginning of this country it is in fact a sad future I see unless average Joe wakes up and becomes concerned.
I'm old with many opinions few solutions.

California is being dragged down by the huge costs of Millions of illegals being here. The worst part is the general refusal to address the issue from a misplaced fear of giving offense and good old warped political correctness.

Thanks for all the responses. I was born and raised in California as well, and I'm sure there are many people who are terrified at what they see happening--but they feel powerless. I think of beautiful San Diego, Santa Barbara, and the Northern California coast just disappearing into an eventual jungle of scary and dangerous inner city scumland, and it is just tragic. I will leave this state when I retire (in five years or so), but it's particulary sad that I feel I have to leave to keep any quality of life at all.

I've lived here in So. California for over 50 years. Every school I went to, my husband went to, and my children went to, are all hispanic now... These schools are all located in different parts of Southern California. We are now Mexico and everything is funded by the American taxpayers!

If only Americans knew the truth that our government is encouraging millions of Mexicans to come here every year illegally. I don't know why so many Americans aren't outraged at this? Illegal immigration is killing our country, and yet the voters are going to elect a president that wants to make things worse...I don't get it??

Let's not forget that we have a traitor as our Governor, I'll be back, Swarzenneger. I can't believe what a sellout he turned into. We have to get Antonio Villarigosa out of here. Walter Moore for Mayor!! Spread the word.
