From my own personal experience: I could not get hired as a DISH WASHER in a restaurant. The owner told me he preferred to hire an illegal alien because he felt I would quit as soon as I got a better job offer, where as an illegal alien would be more likely to stay on the job. It seems he was not worried that the immigration service would catch and deport his illegal alien dish washer."The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" ** Edmund Burke**

Managers think American citizens won't work for low pay. Many immigrants will not, either! In fact, immigrants are more likely to protest for a higher minimum wage since they plan to do these fast food jobs as permanent careers. There was a woman from Mexico in the news recently who was going public about her need for $15 an hour pay at a fast food restaurant. She was 19 and had two small children and no career ambition. She insisted she needed a living wage of $15 an hour. The point she (and others like her) are missing is that these jobs weren't meant to be permanent jobs to support a family on. They were designed to be jobs for STUDENTS and she is not a student, and never plans to be one. Also, if a person can't speak English and take the order correctly, they don't even deserve minimum wage.

It is very difficult to compete with illegal aliens in the residential construction industry and the homebuilders are complicit in this as prefer to use them as subcontractors. Many of the illegals have their own companies now and underbid American workers for jobs all the time.

Exactly, and that is why I had been reporting these illegal alien enterprises to the state authorities whenever I could. The state does not enforce immigration law, BUT they will enforce business laws. And when these little outfits are flying under the radar, once they do get caught they can be fined several thousand dollars. Since 99 percent of Americans are ignorant of these laws, the illegals just think that they are home free. We need to have a dedicated army of volunteers
doing this. One person can only do so much. Why are conservative so oblivious to the legal resource available, when illegals are not and they get all kinds of help."Men of low degree are vanity, Men of high degree are a lie. " David

In our city we have a huge building boom going on. A lot of it is big apartment buildings and the contractors just hire illegals. So they get rich while violating the law. And the city policy helps them do that. And I know as you say that illegals have set up their own companies, expecting to get rich, too, while the government looks the other. So we have Americans tossed out, the illegals taking over with the government declaring them as "victim class." And conservatives and Republicans keep saying that small business is our savior,

It wasn't too long ago that Chipotle was busted for hiring illegals. The company held a job fair. They had to shut it down after only one day, because so many American applied.
Judging by what I see when I drive past Chipotle, some of the STEM grads who couldn't get STEM jobs are now flipping burgers.

They are not a victim class. And if they are truly victimized here in the USA, then they should go back to where they came from.
I don't know why but so many people associate "immigrant" with being poor and disadvantaged. Its not always the truth, sometimes they are poor, but many of them are living the middle class life here in America. Churches and charities in my area give everything away to immigrants. I used to volunteer at the food bank and illegals got all of it. I wish they would give food to college students who are struggling to work & pay for their classes.

About a month ago I hired an White American to do the work around our property that my husband and I can no longer do. He only wanted $10.00 per hour, but after a week we raised it to $15.00 a hour.
Every time we start a project we have noticed Hispanics showing up asking for work. This time we started noticing a car with 3 Hispanics parking in the front of our property staring at our worker in a threatening way. If we approached them they would speed away. This went on for about 2 weeks and then one day we had locked up our property and went to town. We got a call from a neighbor that he had caught a group of Hispanics climbing our fence. He approached them with his shotgun and fired one round in the air. They fled and we haven't seen them again.
Being a senior citizen living in rural California many of us have a system of keeping up with what is happening in our area. There is way to many home invasions and everyone is on the lookout for suspicious people. Most of the crimes are committed by Hispanics. Everyone keeps their guns handy. I swear it is like living in the wild west. But no one is going to intimidate me or tell me who I hire. Americans are first.

When I start probing around construction jobs to see if I can make a complaint I get angry looks too. I got a lot of angry looks when I worked in construction too, so everyone has a sense of entitlement. But we have to stop these people. There is a huge family owned landscaping contracting business nearby, with several branch offices, besides, ICE should have raided them years ago (and I did complain) but ICE will do nothing these days. Obama has tied their hands, and the ACLU would sue them for "racial profiling"
SO it is up to citizens to know how to stop things. There is no law that say you have to be nice; I insult them whenever possible. WHY oh WHY are conservatives soooooooo sloooowwwww to take action? No matter what the feds do there are plenty of local laws on our side already. Conservatives hate international law, too, but I think we could make use of some of the treaties like THE RETURN OF CHILDREN TREATIES!!!!!"Men of low degree are vanity, Men of high degree are a lie.
