This is my rather heated email to Gordon Smith. He has tried to ride the fence on this issue, but it just will not work, Oregonians are really tired of this career politician who refuses to do his job.

To: Gordon Smith,

I am hoping that at some point, you as my Republican representative, would want to actually represent the will of the voters (that is me, not the illegal aliens in this state) by not only voting for border enforcement, also employer sanctions to stem this major problem that is illegal immigration.
These people are not "undocumented workers", they are here illegally. This is so painfully clear that I am surprised you have to be reminded of that. ILLEGAL.

Now, they are marching in our streets, demanding "rights" of citizens and "justice" for their situation, to which the only justice they are entitled to is deportation.

Oregon is literally going down the toilet because of politicians that cannot get off the fence and start doing their job, the job WE AMERICANS/OREGONIANS have voted you all in for.

Again, we have had a budget shortfall, why? Because we are letting the illegal aliens use their Matricula Consula cards to get licenses, then they use that to go and get state benefits for their families. Yes, they are living in poverty, but you know what Senator Smith, so is my family, we live on $11.36 hourly. We must homeschool our kids because our schools are so overburdened with the huge number of illegal children and "anchor babies". Our children were getting left behind.

When will you start standing up for Oregonians instead of illegal aliens and special interest groups that represent illegal aliens? When will people like myself be able to do more than survive, considering the depressed wages? We want to be able to have a home of our own, although illegal aliens seem to have no problem getting loans through HUD and such, thanks to Wells Fargo.

Elections are coming and Oregonians are weary of this issue being ignored by our state government and our federal government, we will vote accordingly, we will make sure that those with a record of caving in to special interests, instead of citizens interests, will no longer hold their positions. It's as simple as that. I read that Jim Ludwick of Oregonians for Immigration Reform could not get you to give him a straight answer, one time. Skirting around the issue will no longer work.
