More insanity: Rice promises more U.S. aid for Pakistan

    http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/ ... &slug=Rice

he devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita fresh in mind, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice promised Wednesday that the United States would provide help over the long haul for Pakistan's recovery from a killer earthquake.

Rice detoured from a trip to Afghanistan and Central Asian nations to briefly visit Pakistani leaders and American troops ferrying supplies in and wounded out of the rugged earthquake zone.

"The United States has, as other parts of the world have, been through natural disasters," Rice said following a meeting with Pakistan's foreign minister. "This one is of epic proportions, and I want the people of Pakistan to know that we will be with you."

That promise is good "not just today, but tomorrow," Rice said.

Rice came with no specific new pledge of U.S. money beyond an initial $50 million contribution. She predicted more American financial aid will come, and said she will encourage other nations to be generous.
This is an outrage. Is the federal government and the people that run it really this stupid? Doesn't anybody in this administration have the balls to tell Bush, yo dude we are stretched thin, we don't have the money or the resources to save the world? Where do they get the money from? Do they just keep printing more thinking that the value of the dollar won't decrease? Does this incompetent bunch not have any concept of a balanced budget? We are swimming in major red ink. We are giving away billions to Iraq, billions to Katrina, we are already trillions in debt. Yet they just keep giving more and more and nobody says a word about it. Why isn't anybody telling Bush to hold the line on this outrageous spending? Better yet why do we have to pay for every other countries problems? Stop the insanity. Make the gutter rats in the Middle East pay for it. Make them shell out some of their oil money to help Pakistan. Stop trying to please the world and for once say NO. We need to take care of Americans first and we have enough problems and not enough resources to go around.

Why is it that everytime a turd world country experiences a natural disaster, we have to roll out the gravy train and shell out an outrageous amount of aide? Do we have to hold every countries hand just because they can't take care of themselves? I'm sick of this crap. Just because we are the only superpower doesn't mean we have to shell out the most aide every time to make ourselves not feel guilty. Earth to Bush, stop trying to run the world and run your own damn country you idiot.

    Somebody impeach this madman now.

    More importantly

Will this open the door to more immigration based on refugee status? If history serves as an example, the answer will be yes unless we all start voicing objections immediately and loudly
It will not be enough to send a letter. We will have to march on washington and dictate terms in the white house

Bush appears to have the need to spend around $100 billion per month above and beyond what the budget calls for.

These disasters are a godsend to him.
It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.
