"Thank You's" to the Instrumental Senators

Hey folks, was just wondering and seeking ideas...

What can we do collectively to thank the real solid senators that held the line and did the right thing from start-finish? These people really deserve some recognition and thanks for the way-more-than-required efforts in the process...

(Examples: Sessions, DeMint, Vitter, Dorgan, Sanders, McCaskill, Tester, etc)

Cards, Flowers, "Box of Chocolates", etc.?

(Most importantly, what is acceptable protocol-wise and ok with respect to lobbying gift regs.?)

Pledge to support them in the next election. Some of them will take some heat for their position.

We must call, fax and email thank you letters to all the ones who helped defeat this bill.

We could send them American flags? Thoughts on that one?

Other than your vote, send them a contribution. Especially, if they are running for office in "08. Offer to help their campaign.

I wish we could all just give them hugs and kisses RIGHT NOW!!!

I'm going to start calling each one of them in a few minutes to express my gratitude; but it would be great to do something special....

Since they will all probably be going home for the July 4th holiday, maybe we could send each one a bouquet of flowers with little American flags to celebrate the best Independence Day they have ever given us!

    Let's definitely do something!!!!

Folks, please remember also to keep your 'cheat sheet' on the tally of votes. Those who voted FOR cloture on the bill need to be remembered as well. This issue WILL come up again. They cannot be given a pass. We need to make sure they are opposed by a candidate who has different views on the issue.

Magyart, I have already done that. I just feel like I want to send them a little extra something. The ones who stood with us are definately going to get my support and campaign contributions.
The ones who stood against us are going to get an invoice from me!
