Group helps immigrants integrate in the Ozarks

HOLLISTER, Mo. - For some immigrants to the Ozarks, living in an English speaking society can be difficult for every day life.

A local tax service company, Open Horizons, is making integration into the Branson area a little easier.

Tonight the group hosted its third annual seminar at the Hollister Y-M-C-A. The goal is to help those in the community who need the services of bilingual lawyers, insurance companies, and churches.

Taney County, the state of Missouri and even the Mexican Consulate from Kansas City were available for advice or services that new immigrants to the area needed. For volunteers and participants alike, it's a way the community can grow closer.

"We try to put all the services together and try to help the Hispanic community out here," said Shirley Powell with Open Horizons.

"It's something that we try to give back to our community, help with our community just to not do only tax services, instead help them, so they can have everything," Vanessa Huacuz with Open Horizons said.

"Working together is the key to save our community," Mondo Delavega with Morningside Church said. "It's all about the kids, it's all about saving their future whether you're Hispanic, whether you're Caucasian, whether you're Asian, whether you're African American, it's all about bringing peace to the community and building a better future for our kids."

If you are interested in helping out at the next seminar or would just like more information, you can contact Open Horizons at (417)334-9979.

    "so they can have everything."

    Typical of these ethnocentric racists.

    ===========================================

I promise you this invasion could not have been possible were it not for senators, congressmen, mayors, city councils, and organizations like the Rotary Club and The Rosicrucians making a huge profit off the backs of these illegal aliens.

They have done it in almost every industry. Textiles, carpet making, construction, roofing, agriculture, and in this situation in Branson the HOTEL-MOTEL INDUSTRY.

That's right. The owners of these hotels and motels are already hit especially hard in this depression (look at Las Vegas) and every single illegal alien they have working in their hotels, motels, and kitchens represents huge profit in their back pockets.

For every illegal alien these business owners see, they instantly relate that to increased profit and lower labor costs, which is the highest operating cost of ANY business.

They have friends in high places.

One of them is the US Secretary of Labor.

And it's always great to be with the National Council of La Raza.

Before I begin, I wanted to thank Janet MurguÃ*a, the NCLR board and staff for the outstanding work they do each day on behalf of the Latino community and our country. NCLaRaza is a bedrock for the Latino community — committed to strengthening this great nation by promoting the advancement of Latino families. I am proud of what NCLR stands for and the work that your organization and affiliates across our country do everyday.

It's inspiring to say that today NCLR is in 41 states, and Puerto Rico... and the District of Columbia.

    NCLaRaza is everywhere!

That means that in virtually every part of this country, there are organizations that work for the advancement of our familias.
