Thread: Anyone else think?

that these so called Senate confirmation hearings are a complete joke? I mean for all the posturing and grandstanding that they do, they end up confirming these guys anyway no matter who the president is or what party affiliation. Why even have these hearings at all if they are just going to be a rubber stamp for what the president wants? Big question is when was the last time they didn't confirm somebody? I don't even remember.

What a waste of the taxpayers money this crap is.

If they confirm Hillary Clinton to Secretary of State, you are absolutely right!

The fact that it has been proven her family took in over 500 million dollars from elite donors and foreign nations and that she used her Senate seat to do special favors for those that bough here and Bill off should DISQUALIFY her from serving.

Once they give her the thumbs up to proceed, Americans can know that we have the best Senators that money from China and Saudi Arabia can buy!

Is there any doubt that she will be confirmed hands down? Didn't they just pass a bill taking away the pay increases so that she could "serve"?

94-2 in favor of Hillary. HA! The only surprise to me was that there were actually two dissenting votes against her. I mean how dare those 2 go against your royal majesty. What a joke. The US Senate is just nothing, but a bunch of corporate puppets bought and paid for. These confirmation hearings are nothing, but a dog and pony show.

I bet even the gutless Republicans bowed down as usual. Some say we have a two party system, but do we really? It seems like a one party oligarchy to me.

Let's put those names in print: Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) and Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC). Ironically, both of these gentlemen are two of our best friends (against amnesty) in the U.S. Senate. I could definitely support Sen. DeMint as the next President of the United States!

I'm still astounded that Geitner is still being considered!!!!! Can't remember where I heard it, but I guess it was said he paid those early taxes out of the goodness of his heart because if they don't catch you in three years then your free. So essentially it wasn't "illegal" and he was no longer bound to pay them. Gee how many want to give that move a shot?

Geitner got confirmed too. Just proves my point. OBL could go up for confirmation and these knuckleheads would approve.
