Thread: Tuesdays Debate

Thanks to information from the local Tea Party, I was informed and able to attend a local debate between Tom Campbell and CHuck Devore.

I came away with more information, and a good feeling about both candidates,especially on immigration and health care.

But, I also noticed another trend. I was the third person to ask a question, and I hit it pretty bluntly, its around 27 minutes on the video.

The first question asked, and maybe I am wrong, but I believe from a clueless dimwit, was about the killing of Armenians in 1915.

The insinuation was that there are enough Armenian Americans to change the vote so answer it correctly.

My other issue, with all the problems in this country, why the hell would we care and worry about whether a candidate considers what happened in 1915 genocide, 95 years ago

so here is my big problem with it, as an immigrant, on a different thread I stated that no, someone born out of the country should never be allowed to be president, and this reinforces that statement

my thinking is that even though I consider myself American in every way, I cant say for sure if England were attacked, I wouldnt have a pull in that direction.

WHen I hear candidates having to spend more time saying what countries they support, and how they would do it, makes me think that many immigrants, and people who heritage from certain other countries, especially the middle east, will not put this country first and foremost.

( I mean no offense to people of this origin, just a observation)

It makes me believe that they think of this country like a divorced dad from the 70's, a wallet with weekends that is good for the cash and nothing else

A wallet on the weekends -- how true these days, sd. We are seeing more dollars leaving this country than we ever have before, and this money is going to support the GDP of many nations because of people who have no right to be here in the first place, much less work.
And I think the ruling (Labour?) party in Britain is just as perquacky as we are these days. Give everything to everyone and hope they appreciate the gifts. Well, they do not, otherwise they would not have violated our laws to come here illegally.
