Sadly, this isn't the only incident about stuff like this. There have been a few other cases too, all involving men from Latin American countries and little girls.

Everything I have read says that woman have little to no actual rights in Latin America and those people bring that "attitude" with them when they come here.

How could these charges be "dropped"by the mother? The state has jurisdiction, last I checked rape of a child was a felony

Without the mothers support blocking access to the child they can't get evidence or testimony to convict. Law states the accused has a right to confront his accuser. Its really screwed up what the law has come to these days though.

The mother dropped the original charges I believe after finding out her would be deported after serving his sentence and the man was her boyfriend or some such if I'm thinking of the right article.

The police need to get off the PC wagon and charge the mother with being an acomplice as she is protecting him vs her daughter. But ohh no... we can't do that to a victims mother...

The mother ought to be put in prison for obstruction of justice and the "PC" needs to stop in this country.

Just as the Commander of the USS Enterprise lost his job due all to PC. I think Obama had a play in that too.
