One Mexican Flag Down: Millions To Go

Last weekend as the marches were heating up I noticed the Mexican flag that flew over my complex was missing. I figured it could be them cleaning or replacing it but it is still gone. The pole where it flew just barren. It is a beautiful site to see the Texas and USA flags flying without their lil companion.

In San Diego on the local news they did a report on why the anchor baby protesters are waving Mexican flags, and when they interviewed a teenaged girl she said to the effect:

"I am a Mexican, I will always be a Mexican, and I am fighting for my human rights as a Mexican, the right to live here and not be called an alien or a foreigner."

    What the &$^#!!

Her RIGHTS as a Mexican!?!?! SHE has the right to go back to her beloved third world craphole and sponge of her own country. I wonder what kind of free welfare, free education, free health care she would get there?

And the interviewer did not even follow up on her ridiculous response, he just goes OK, thanks. All the while, on the bottom of the screen were the words, "Organized and Orderly Protests". Yeah right, thousands of lawbreaking, Spanish chanting anchor babies, walkout of school, mobbing the streets throwing rocks and bottles at police, here to steal an education, here to cheat welfare, here to demand free and low costs tuition, screaming about their rights, and then not even showing any loyalty to the country they are taking advantage of.

One local station has a message board, and asks for opinions of the protests, but when I submitted a message they would not even post it. I guess you can post messages if you agree with the invasion and the protesters, as many of the posts were, but if you don't agree with the invasion your rights to free speech don't count. B.S. if you ask me, but then again, that's why San Diego is called Mexico's Finest City.

    Her RIGHTS as a Mexican
She should be among the first to go back to Mexico where she can exercise those rights.

In my mind, the time has come where people have to choose if they are Americans or Mexicans or Irish, or Poles, or Greeks, or--- the list is endless. And when they decide, they need to get where they belong and drop the hyphenated nationalities.

You don't understand, they consider the US Southwest to actually be Mexico. It has never been part of the US, the US "stole" it, it has been Mexico all this time. And we owe them everything they want because we "stole" it. It's the same attitude a criminal has. When they mug you and take your wallet, to them it is THEIR wallet, you don't deserve it, they deserve it.

All these anchor babies/Chicanos have been throughly brainwashed. The media has done a good brainwashing job on Americans also. After another 10 years, we might have all felt we should give the Mexicans everything they want. It might have worked if not for the internet and 9-11.

I'm tired of hearing how we stole the land from Mexico. They only owned it for 25 years before the U.S. took possession (of mostly barren, empty, undeveloped land which the U.S. paid $15 million dollars for) after the end of the Mexican-American War. We have had it for 150+ years, developed it into a thriving region, but we should give it back to them now? For one thing, if we did give it back to them, within twenty years they would drive it down to the same level as Mexico, an overpopulated, crime infested, illiterate and uneducated third world mess, then start to invade the rest of America because they would have probably ruined what we gave them. Besides, doesn't Mexico still have a country of their own?

In Mexico, they have incredible natural resources and wealth, enough to take of all their own people. Why don't they? They are NOT a poor country. According to the World Bank, Mexico has GDP of $1.066 TRILLION dollars, the 12th largest in the world! They have huge oil reserves, natural gas fields, vast agricultural land, cattle and grazing lands, mineral wealth of gold, zinc, copper, silver and lead, huge timber forests, fisheries on two coasts, beautiful tourist destinations. Why can't they provide for their own people in their own country?

I came here (legally) from Japan as a young child. Japan has no oil, no mineral deposits, very little good agricultural land, about the only they do have is fishing, but through the hard work and intellect of the people they are not a third world dump. Why is it one country with virtually no resources can thrive and be a world power, and another country, about 10 times the size, with vast natural resources, is a total basket case?

But I know, I'm just a brainwashed, ignorant American.

my point exactly, but Mexico still isn't very poor when measured against the rest of the south western hemisphere. I would hope one day to see a thriving proserpous mexico I really would. The images from when I was young haunt me to this day.
