Will Lugar Change his DREAM support vote?
Can enough people call him to get him to drop his support?
I think he is Mormon, and they support illegals, at least the leadership does, because they view them as the origional Israelites or something.
Romney is also Mormon/

Richard Lugar is a Methodist-like many people in the Mid-West-not a Mormon. I think you're confusing him with Bob Bennet and/or Orrin Hatch, the senators from Utah. And their support for DREAM has more to do with their contempt for the American public than any religious precepts.

FWIW, I think Bennet is a lost cause, but I would still pound his office anyway. Lugar is probably also going to defect, but I would try and change his mind, and Hatch has said he's going to oppose DREAM, but I would still call his office and ask him to vote "no" on cloture.

Lugar has a lot of doubts about THIS VERSION of the DREAM Act. He's a very good target. A possible suggestion is to ask him to vote NO this time and see if they rewrite it for the next sessions (when the possiblity of it passing should be even less.)

Illegals go home
How many votes do the Demos have to get in the Senate, 60 votes? Do they have 60 votes?
