Is ALIPAC getting too PC ?
I recently posted an article by Devvy Kidd.
The Title of the article is:
Arizona Patriots: Recall Bimbo From Your Statehouse.
ALIPAC Administrators changed the Title to:
Arizona Patriots: Recall Dangerous Rep. From Your Statehouse.
Is ALIPAC getting too PC ? Is this a form of censorship ?
Any thoughts ?

UB,
I changed it to the real title of the article, which the author chose.

UB,
While it is a rule violation for you to bring this to the open boards without asking our mods first, I will address your post.
One, our volunteer mods make this board possible. You would be amazed, if you could see it all, at the amount of work these volunteers put in just to keep these boards functional and available to you.
Without their efforts to help guide supporters and fight the trolls that raid these boards on a daily basis along with the far right and left wing cooks that have messages for you, we would be out of service within days or rendered politically useless.
So yes, sometimes posts are pulled indoors for review over something you posted or someone else posted.
Every post is given the best considerations we can give and the effort is a team discussion.
We have well defined rules and exercise much more energey and effort than most other boards to response and accomodate our users.
With that in mind, try not to accuse people of censorship and being too PC on a website that is doing more to run the PC paralysis blockades in the mainstream media on a daily basis than most others.
One thing we have noticed is the quickness for some users to scream foul, censorship, or PC offense when one of their posts is modified, deleted or removed.
Our moderators have no interest whatsoever in censoring you. They have an interest in protecting these boards, keeping the rules enforced, and stopping any user from making mistakes or posts that are advantageous to our enemies.
If you want to discuss your specific case details here in the open as an example of the process at work, please signify UB and we will do this in the open if you want.

Dixie,
Did you change the title in the post to the original to help avoid duplication which we struggle with on a daily basis or were their other concerns?

UB, I can only say from a man's perspective, on account of my would refuse to cook for me if I ever referred to her or to any other woman even a few that we might think deserve the label, of Bimbo, it is a word that denigrates women, just as Broad, heifer, (some in Okla uses that word for their women)or the little reference to "she's blonde". Think about it for a min, we really don't use words like that to describe men, so I feel we should refrain of using it to describe Women, as it really is sexist, and denigrating to them. I don't think it had anything to do with being really PC, just having the same respect for women as we do for men! I am sorry, I didnt explain that very well, the Ladies here will do a much better job if then I could ever do.
Build the dam fence post haste!

The moderators have a very hard time keeping up with the duplicate articles when creative posters modify the titles.
It's not censorship, it's not PC run amok, it's a dozen or so dedicated volunteers working their butts off to keep these boards working.
Your cooperation would be sincerely appreciated.

W.,
I changed it because of possible duplication but also because the word Bimbo was used. I went to the authors copy of the article and discovered that it had been altered so I corrected it because of possible copyright infringements. My understanding of copyright laws state that you are not supposed to alter the text. Only the author can re-write and alter the text.
I can look up the copyright law if necessary. I can also furnish the definition of Bimbo as well.

Sometimes I try to imagine all of us face to face in an open room with our real names on name tags on our shirts.
Would one of you come plowing in talking in public using the term Bimbo?
At this point, Im going to invite all of our moderators, admins, and core online activists to respond to UB.
I get very upset when I see someone that is supposed to be on our team issue broad indictments of our moderators and the ALIPAC organization as being too PC or engaging in censorship in the open like this much to the delight of our enemies.
We have a complaint resolution process that has been discarded here.
I have such admiration for those of you that work so hard managing the largest and most visited web forum dedicated to this issue in existence.
You have also created the largest archive of information on this topic in existence and it upsets me a great deal when someone makes charges like this because one of their posts was deleted or adjusted for good reason.

UB, I think for myself, I have seen a progressive shift to not necessarily becoming politically correct, just simply learning to word things better so that it is not taken in offense, or cannot be used against all of us as a whole in this fight.
When we use certain words or terms, this becomes fuel for the fire of the enemies of ALIPAC. They would love to find highly derogatory terms or words here so they can archive it, print it and use it in a public forum to tear us down. We need to show ourselves to be the intelligent people we are, it simply boosts our credibility.
Well anyways, the my own humble opinion."In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, Brave, Hated, and Scorned. When his cause succeeds however, the timid join him, For then it costs nothing to be a Patriot."
