Texas Schools to Illegals: No Es Problema

Texas Schools to Illegals: No Es Problema

    December 2, 2011

The following is a special contribution by outside blogger Lynn Woolley, a Texas-based radio talk show host. Opinions expressed a solely those of Mr. Woolley.

Texas Governor Rick Perry famously signed a bill granting in-state tuition rates for children of illegal aliens. Now, some school districts in the state are taking that as a mandate to go the extra mile to encourage illegals to continue breaking our laws.

The flyer lists the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and three area colleges as co-sponsors. You’d expect LULAC to support such activities – but why would American educational institutions aid lawbreakers, and even go out of their way to reward them?
The reason the colleges support it is the same reason Most of the teachers in Texas support Illegals and their anchor spawn. Bigger head counts mean more money, and if the money runs out , then next time the budget comes around you simply claim you need more since there was not enough last time. This does not even take into consideration of exigencies that can be ask for in the middle of a budgetary period.

We have thrown billions at education in Texas , and as best I can see most of it is a total waste. Oh the wailing , moaning and gnashing of teeth by the most wasteful bunch of people there ever was when you tell them they cannot buy one more pencil. Almost as bad as welfare recipients when their checks are one day late.

People don't seem to understand that the US government is not a bottomless pit of money. One of these days they will ask for more money at the end of the fiscal year and they will be told that there isn't any money for ANY of the kids to be educated!

God, what on earth are these people trying to do? We TEXANS already pay some of the HIGHEST SCHOOL TAX AROUND! Mine is 1.25% of the property value of our home EACH FRIGGIN YEAR and we don't have any school age kids!

I am on a war path now! Not going to spend any of my tax dollars to 45's for higher education, standbye educators for an earfull!

    Pissed!

I just sent this off to the District Superentendant!

    Dr. Battershell

Today I came across an article that has disturbed me very much in regards to how our Tax dollars are being spent in your district.

It seems that your district is now trying to assist the children of Illegal Aliens i.e.; Undocumented Immigrants in your district by distributing a flyer that says “ In Spanish and English, the handout asks Hispanic students and parents if they need money to go to college –

then, makes it clear that even those in the country illegally should apply:

“Tu residencia legal no es problema.â€
