    That attitude I hate

Here is another example of that bizarre attitude we are getting from Mexico and other countries. It pops up all over, and has spread like dandelions. This is from a comment board on Redif, but change the accent and it could have been from the LA Times.

I’ve heard the same thing all over the place also. Is there the remote possibility this is why the senate is determined to pass amnesty. Do they fear a Latino uprising in the U.S. more than they fear the American voter? I maybe way off base with this but it makes sense if you look at the way our government is willing to compromise, lie, and sell out the American people. Maybe the U.S. gov. has been warned by the Mexican gov. that an up rising / revolt will be what will happen if they don’t give amnesty. Just a thought to consider, It would explain a lot.

These are the people that are being forced down the throats of the American people...We have to live them and suffer the consequences of a third world life style and everything that goes with it. While the wealthy Elite politicians who have done this to us, can live in their zillion dollar hill top gate guarded palaces.

I have also heard that our government fears 'la raza' more than our wrath. I posted this comment to the original and it was immediately reported as abuse, though not removed (yet). Not sure if they meant my comment or the original message (probably not).

It is nonsense to say you have the same rights and ownership as Americans and that Americans are just visitors like you. The people you are putting down came from ancestors who left their country, culture, and usually language behind forever to become Americans. But you go back and forth on jets. We have no homeland to return to if American doesn't work out for us. Yes we have more rights and ownership of America than you. And, I don't believe all this stuff happened to that woman. If it was that common and brazen, we would have heard from more of you, long before now. No my country does not belong to you too, and we will stop letting you turn my country into your job fair."

Interestingly, many of the Indian commentators express disbelief of the woman's story of racist threats and are even insulting to her. Yet the story is being whipped up all over.

I have been thinking this same thing. It really is scary to think about but I'm sure it is possible that our Govt. might be facing threats of some kind like this. It sure would make some sense out of what is happening. However, wouldn't there have been a leak about it by now?

I think a deal was made with Bush before he decided to run for president.
The power-brokers with all the money would help get him elected if he would cut taxes and give them cheap labor...He is just paying them back! He knew the first day that he was elected president he was going to do this amnesty scam. 9-11 just delayed it a bit!

The Bush Admin. are nothing but cowards. That's why we are in the mess in the "War" on terror.

It seems that the media and congress are good at suppressing information to the public when it serves their purposes. Look at the revelations that have come forward recently with the Attorney General. No one would have ever known that this had gone on with the firings of the Attorneys but, because someone had an ax to grind, it came out. The only reason the media is all over it now is that it sells. Once the cats out of the bag it ok to talk about it, you just don’t want to be first. Also, which news service or individual would want the weight of congress and all the pro illegal immigrations supporters coming down on them for making that announcement? Not to mention the implications stemming from publicizing matters involving national security that someone wanted quite.

With 300 million people in the U.S. and estimates, say 75% are opposed to amnesty in any form. Please note I am being conservative with that number of 75%. Why are the politicians throwing themselves onto their swords for 25% of the population? Are they tired of being in politics, is there another agenda, or are they hiding something bigger that amnesty only will stop?

If you look at the numbers, the benefits of having new voters combined with those who supporting amnesty votes are not there.
