Incomming Chairman Bennie Thompson applauded the raids!
http://washingtontimes.com/national/200 ... -5530r.htm
Rep. Bennie Thompson, Mississippi Democrat and incoming chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, applauded the raids, saying they sent "a clear message to businesses and employees across the nation that work-site enforcement and hiring only authorized workers is critical to our nation's safety and security."
"It is the duty of employers to ensure they are following the letter of the law and only employing people who have a legal right to be here," Mr. Thompson said.

x is right. I think you will see some people loyalty. All should not be confused though. The democratic party is for Work place verification and border security. the problem is they are also for guest worker amnesty.

The doublespeak sure is coming fast and furious from the Democrats! I just don't believe a word any of them say.... this is just more of the same......trying to have it both ways. Thompson is a prime example - Scolding Smithfield one week and applauding the raids on Swift the next?
The democratic party is for Work place verification and border security. the problem is they are also for guest worker amnesty.
They show a profound disdain for law-abiding and tax-paying American citizens and workers, and put their political power above the impact on our environment and the future of our children in this position.

incoming................ incoming............
Looks like an early lob for the amnesty marketing job. This guy stinks. They're going to be beating us over the head with "operational control" of the border and high profile raids to create the illusion of enforcement. Start paying attention to them when they've arrested several millions.Unemployment is not working. Deport illegal alien workers now! I think it's just smoke & mirrors. Creating the illusion as
someone said. There are a lot of dems who are fed up,
but it's not the top priority unless they are in an industry
where their job is threatened by illegals. For me, it's the
final nail to prove dems & repubs are in the pocket of
large contributors -- it's the only way to get elected &
stay elected. Why else would Bennie pander so when
it's clearly not the way he will go at crunch time.
