The Stars and Stripes, the flag of America is one of the few flags born in battle and baptised in blood, it was made up by a band of rebels who created a country based on a system of laws and freedom. Since then it has stood as a symbol of freedom through out the world.
We, as a nation need to remember this, we need to remember what our fathers fought and died for.
If we forget these things then the flag means nothing and America is doomed!
I fly my flag 24/7 and I am damn proud to do so!

If I see any more foreign flags flown here in my country, I am going to get out and [mod edit] at somebody. I should change that to water balloons maybe? :P

I am just teasing here, this is a serious thing, not to make a joke of, how in the world can our legislators allow that to happen in our own country? Is that what our soldiers have fought and died for all through our bloody war history, so other illegal people can come here and fly their country's flag and demand their rights? I don't think so, there has to be some limits fo freedom, I don't think our forefathers meant that just anything goes!

Nittygritty, yesterday while driving, I saw a house flying the Brazilian flag all by itself.

I am either going to drop off a flag ettiquette paper or mail one or call and complain to the local police dept. I have made a vow to myself that I won't just walk away from this.

It was a blatant, disgusting and pathetic sight. I immediately thanked George Bush for it. He's the one who has emboldened these people to blatantly disrespect our country.

I watched my local news this AM. Saw stories re the Miami Heat winning game 3 of NBA Finals, Tropical Depression Alberto and it's effects on No. Fl., murders, roberries, construction accident/death, accidents and blocked highways, weather, on one station...that the "racist Grassfire organization's billboard was defaced and the message changed to one opposed to gentrification in the hood", along with Grassfire's president's statement, and that the organization that defaced the billboard, "didn't want to be identified" but sent a fax to the station giving the why of their action. Of course the TV station did NOT say that the defacing was against the law. ETC.

There was NO report on any channel (that I heard nor read in the scrolling stories at the bottom) about Flag Day.

I have been listening to the news all morning, not one of these TV stations has mentioned it being Flag Day. I emailed Lou and made comment about it I would all most lay odds Lou Dobbs will say something about it being Flag Day.

I emailed each one of my stations, also. It was hard to be polite, but I was.
