Lone Protester- The Republican Elite Must Go

Lone Protester- The Republican Elite Must Go
    11/09/08

The conservatives of this country have been left sucking wind behind the Republican elite for a few years now. While they have attempted to segregate and shut us up while trying to shove their compassionate conservatism down our throats, Tuesday’s election has repudiated everything that they stood for and the platform they ran on. They have forfeited their assumed right to rule our party and we demand that they resign from every position that they hold. Their philosophy of compassionate conservatism has hit rock bottom and it is time for real conservatism to rise to the surface.

It is time for the conservatives to take over the party and rebuild what the liberals have damn near destroyed. Under them we have changed from the party of Lincoln to a party ruled by open borders fanatics that do not see anything wrong with ten million Americans are unemployed while 38 million illegal alien invaders are hard at work within our borders. John McCain slams Barack Obama about his redistribution of wealth ideas while McCain has been promoting redistributing our jobs and wealth to invaders for years. Remember the McCain/Kennedy Comprehensive Immigration Reform? Under his ideas my business and profit was taken and given to invading criminals. Is that not the very essence of redistribution of wealth?

And I am sick and tired of it. I am sick and tired of being force fed the few crumbs these traitors to conservatism have allocated to me. I refuse to continue taking the back seat to a bunch of pseudo conservatives that like nothing better than crossing the aisle and working with the opposition against what the majority of this country demands. If you want to cross the aisle so much, then stay there, this party will be much the better for it. If you can’t espouse conservative values and stand by them then to hell with you. You have had your chance to run the party and you did, you have succeeded in running it straight into the ground. You have destroyed what Ronald Reagan built and you have no more credibility with us. It is time for the real conservatives to take charge. It is time to take a firm stand for this country and everything it stands for. It is time to worry about America and Americans first and foremost before any dreams of a global economy where the rights of invaders have more meaning than our rights as guaranteed
    under the US Constitution.

I have read comments from some people that say they are ready to quit because they see no hope of winning this fight. They just want to give up and let our country degenerate into a third world cesspool where freedom and justice depends on how much money you have. If you do, your children will curse you forever. Leave if you must because it will take warriors to fight the battles ahead. We won a major battle last Tuesday when the Republican lite values lost. It is time for them to stop blaming everyone else for their loss and step aside. The Bush/McCain era of the Republican party is over and we want to see real conservative leaders in charge.

So, no more excuses, no more trying to pass the blame along to others for your failures. Just leave and do not let the door kick you in the ass on the way out. Conservative American values are going to come back into style again in the Republican party despite all your attempts to destroy them. Do not stand in our way.

Despite the wipeout of the GOP in Tuesday's election, there are still many elites who don't get it. Bill Kristol, Karl Rove, Richard Land, even apparently Hugh Hewitt etc. believe in the "if only Republicans weren't so harsh in last year's immigration debate, more Latinos would have voted for us...we have to acknowledge the demographic changes" type of argument.

Obviously, they are looking at this through a political lens, not from a sound public policy perspective of what's good for American workers, the environment etc.

In other words, they blame those of us who oppose illegal immigration for in part causing McCain's defeat, neglecting to note that McCain was an aging, in important ways flawed candidate whose embrace of and continuing promises of amnesty not only did not help him with Latinos, but hurt him with the base.

There are many reasons why McCain and the Republicans got smashed. But opposing illegal immigration was not one of them. Not in the least.

    Amen populist!

Republicans did not deserve to win the 2008 election, (Although Americans do not deserve to suffer under Obama). Our only chance is to rediscover the conservative core and regroup under those basics.

The message of rediscovering core conservative beliefs needs to be spread. It is the only way.

I think they just had the WRONG candidate. (McCain)

I heard that a lot of Republicans just didn't get out and vote. GWB got more votes in 2004 than McCain did in 2008. There were probably enough Republicans who just did not want to vote for him. They remembered too many times where he made them angry (the immigration bill for one major example) and they chose not to put the clothespin on their nose and vote for him.

PLUS, it is hard for a party to get voted in again after a two term president, especially one whose approval ratings are very low and with the economy falling out. A lot of middle and lower middle class people voted for Obama with the hope that he would deliver on his promises.

The wind was just blowing in the right direction for the Democrats. The Republicans had all of these extremely important things going against them.

The faster they wisen up and accept the truth about what really happened, the better.

They had the wrong person running, there were some shananigans during the primaries too......remember?!

They need to face the truth. Republicans all over the country were VERY upset following the primaries. Start with THAT.

I just hope the Jeff Sessions, Jim DeMint, David Vitter et al. version triumphs, especially in terms of illegal immigration. But I've been reading that the liberal Dem Joe Lieberman is talking with McConnell about caucusing with Republicans & that Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) may mount a challenge for GOP House leader.

Lieberman is terrible on illegal immigration (career grade D-, recent F) , and Ryan (career grade C) does not have a very good record on this either (per NumbersUSA). These are not the best signs so we must make our voices heard.

Obama out spent McCain 2 to 1. But why did McCain allow that? He could have raised just as much money. If he had the money McCain probably would have done better. But he didn't conduct himself like a President during the campaign. He suspended his campaign, flew to Washington, associated himself with a bill that was very unpopular inside his own party and then said he wasn't going to debat. Then he flipped and went to the debate. He then loses the debate. From then on it was pretty much over. And we wonder why McCain takes the positions he does. Is he a maverick or an incompetent? It's more like incompetent.
