Thread: Are We Getting Anywhere Near Having a Protest?

Just wondering.

The situation in Houston is very good for the movement right now there are Louisiana refugees who are citizens and can vote after 30 days. They are now in need of worked to support themselves and placed in direct competition with Houston's current illegal alien day laborers. Relocated to the right districts they can effect the 2006 election and even before that immigration enforcement.If you live in Texas and want to act go register the refugees to vote in Houston and photograph the day labor centers.

I figure the way you live your life is a protest. Money feeds the machine, stop spending.

Obviously existing obligations have to be met, however, any monies that you don't spend, or can in some way re-direct to ways of living that make more sense to you, is something we can in a small way do.

On a more radical note, there is the General Strike. At this point we are not moving forward, our wages are tapped out and everything is getting more expensive. The General Strike spreads the pain to the profiteers. It is the peoples only weapon, short of insurrection, to bring to heel a government that insists on short shrifting the people. cheers glenn
