Thread: ILLEGALS GET 6 MONTHS MAX FOR KILLING OHIOANS. HELP!

Folks, in Ohio, if an unlicensed illegal alien kills an Ohioan, the maximum sentence is 6 months.

We need people to call TODAY to get the Republican House Speaker to have HB 409 voted on today so the bill which would change the penalty from a misdeameanor to a felony doesn't fail.

If you have time, please call 614-644-6008 and ask that the bill be brought to the floor for a vote today or before the House recesses this week.

How pathetic is that 6 months

I will be calling tomorrow also. I can't even believe that this stuff is happening. More of us need to let our politicians hear our outrage. That is the only way they will start cracking down.

I called tonight and left a strong message.

My goodness, I would rightfully lose my belongings and my freedom if I, or a family member did that. An illegal gets 6 months.


No justice in America anymore.

Thanks folks for the calls! However, we were unable to apply enough pressure to get the bill brought to the floor for a vote.

We did make enough noise that there is a possibility that it may be voted on this fall... so your calls were not in vain.

And the widow of the Ohioan that was killed is thankful for your help too.

I'm sorry about the bill, Steve. But hopefully if you can keep the pressure on, it will be reconsidered. We failed to get an enforcemnet bill in this last session, but we're hopeful for this next one. We can't give up.
