    Illegal Aliens: Canada says NO.

Under the criteria of appearance, Canadian immigration authorities denied entry to three Mexicans who were trying to enter the country as tourists, because "they didn't appear to have money and looked very poor".

The co-nationals suffered humiliation during more than 24 hours, one of the illegal aliens said. He said that authorities did strip searches and revisions of their belongings at least four times and then took them tothe Vancouver police headquarters where they were handcuffed, booked and detained.

Since December 2004, the U.S. has been designated by Canada as a safe third country for refugees. This means that most asylum seekers are ineligible to make a claim at the U.S.-Canada land border. If they attempt to do so, they are immediately returned to the U.S. where they may be detained. This has been the fate of many of the illegal aliens from Mexico living in the U.S given wrong information about Canada’s programs. To be eligible for asylum in Canada, illegal aliens must go to Canada directly from Mexico, they cannot claim refugee status at the U.S-Canada border.

Refugee claimants in Canada are eligible for basic social assistance and emergency health care. This is a matter of basic human dignity: no one wants to see people starving or bleeding to death on the streets. However, under current law, refugee claimants are entitled to only the bare minimum: they do not, for example, receive full health coverage or child tax benefits. Many claimants do not want to rely on social assistance and find work as soon as they can. They pay taxes, which go towards services for Canadians to which they themselves are not entitled.

There is no such category as “economic refugeeâ€

So, why can't America be as tough on illegal aliens as Canadians??
Why can't America have 1/2 the kahonnas as any other country in regards to illegal aliens. We don't have an "economic refugee" status either as best as I know. Unless it's one of those secret behind the door payoffs for free trade agreements etc. We can't be the worlds job service when we have too many citizens un-employed. Like to see how Canada handles the "we're indians and hit this continent first"......LOL I've heard that reasoning and am ready to ship them right back over to Asia if they want to get technical........ Coz I remember when it was just California and the south west, then jumped the entire indian bandwagon and went for all of America and last I heard was the entire continent. Really both.... From the frozen tundra of Canada to the tip of South America. Or another possibility, maybe a good portion should be shipped right over to Spain as the offspring of their invaders if they want to play this who got where first and who's to blame for everything. Tired of just English speaking white people being expected to take the entire blame for every world issue since the beginning of time. Can't remember the exact details but I was reading in the paper stuff about black history month and thought I'd check some stuff out. The statement was African Americans landed in America before the Pilgrims did. I thought ok....I don't really know who knows what first. In researching that it said the Spanish were the first to discover blacks as slaves and they first started selling them to the various groups of Europeans who were sailing back and forth from the Americas. They claimed they were a sub-human race and didn't have to worry about using them as hard laborers. So there were 6 who landed with somebody....can't remember his name long before the Pilgrims Landed. But it was the Spanish who started the slave trade and passed it on to others who took off from there. And all it amounted to was we got here first before the pilgrims. There wasn't any mention of them being ill treated, or simply stronger men who could help. Nothing about the relationship between them and the indians.... It wasn't just white English speakers who bought and sold them, but you'd never know that from todays rendition. It's really not anything anyone can argue about and doesn't really matter for what's going on today.....but it's been tried by about everyone. The one thing they said is the English developed the ability for printed material and so therefore gave their account of things before any others had a chance.....so it's highly likely it's all from just one view and too big a world at that time for anyone to wonder who hit Maine or Texas firstand what means to argue about it.....what happened to Leif Erickson? Last I heard he made it here before the others, but never got the full credit.

Sorry for the ramble, but just wondered how that would fly for Canada. Wonder how telling the French Canadians they must speak Spanish would go over. LOL I went to school with a bunch of French Canadians. They could speak English better than me but refused to unless they wanted to. Got out of alot of driving tickets and all sorts of things playing like they didn't understand something. Landed the ladies right and left with their romance as well. LOL Then would laugh at what fools they were for not speaking French....some were intolerably arrogant about it and others were the nicest people, not playing that game at all. Or demand their Indian brothers in Canada to speak Spanish when their native language is nothing like it and probably more famaliar to French or English. Just wondering how the stories would fly there and if Canadians would cringe back in shame and guilt for something they had no part in either.
