To put these numbers in perspective, at the end of World War II the United States dropped two atomic bombs on Japan.

On August 6, 1945 "Little Boy" was dropped on Hiroshima. On August 9, 1945 "Fat Man" was dropped on Nagasaki. This is the only time nuclear weapons were used in war. The immediate blast killed approximately 90,000 in Hiroshima, and approximately 70,000 in Nagasaki.

Nearly 100,000 Americans killed in 10 years is a low estimate. If we go back 31 years to 1980 we could actually top the 407,316 Americans killed in World War II.

The numbers killed by illegal aliens have surpassed the deaths of US military personnel in all wars with a possible exception of the Civil War. If I were a betting man, I'd say the numbers are more than the Civil War.

Jorge Perez-PaezJorge Perez-Paez, 23, was arrested late Saturday night at Salsa's Mexican Grill on Mariners Row. He is charged with rape, forcible sodomy, abduction, malicious wounding, robbery and attempted first-degree murder. The charges stem from an incident during the pre-dawn hours of July 2, when a 25-year-old Newport News woman said she was attacked and sexually assaulted as she was walking home from Port Warwick.

Hispanic rapistPolice in Brooklyn are searching for a suspect who broke into a woman's apartment and tried to sexually assault her. The suspect apparently got into the victim's apartment by climbing up the fire escape and then crawling through an open window. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, South or Central American, approximately 5'05" - 5'07" tall, approximately 160 - 170 lbs., with dark colored hair and medium complexion.
