Romney opposed driver licenses for illegal aliens
As early as 2003, Gov. Mitt Romney opposed driver licenses for illegal aliens.
While several presidential candidate in both major politicial parties have refused to support legislation or policies that prevented illegal aliens from obtaining driver licenses for illegal aliens, Gov. Romney had the courage to oppose driver licenses for illegal aliens in a very liberal state that contains many supporters of illegal aliens both inside and outside of the legislature.

Is this really the best that Romney supporters can come up with? Yes he did verbally oppose giving illegals driver's licenses, but why did he do NOTHING about the sanctuary cities in MA?

I do not trust any of the canidates except for Ron Paul. End the stupid war in Iraq and get the illegals out of here. More money to take care of the elderly and veterans. Every other canidate is paid off so I don't believe what their saying. Be accountable for ourselves and be fiscally responsible. Stop wastefull spending!! Especially on the criminals coming over here in droves to get all the freebies the government allows these idiots (illegal aliens). We are heading toward a recession, the stock market keeps going down and now stupid Bush is going to ISREAL! What a joke!!

For the record, Duncan Hunter has never supported in-state tuition or a driver's license for illegal aliens."The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" ** Edmund Burke**

And so you are trying to tell me that a governor can't do anything about sanctuary status? Hmmm...that's interesting because if the sanctuary city is a federal issue, then why aren't all cities sanctuary cities? Prop 40 used in LA is NOT federal legislation, it came from the state.
So again, tell me how and why the governor doesn't have power to change this.
That's really irrelevant and beside the point. The point is, Romney DID NOTHING ABOUT IT WHILE HE WAS GOVERNOR.
You keep toting his very few accomplishments towards illegal immigration, and then you come out and say he's "tough" on illegal immigration. Well he ain't in my book.
Simply because you don't want to believe your candidate is weak on illegal immigration is your problem. Not mine."Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the same results is the definition of insanity. " Albert Einstein.
