It's Official Lamar Alexander Will Vote NO to Amnesty

    It's Official!

Lamar Alexander will be Voting No for Cloture and No for S1639 Amnesty

The Senator's Official Statement issued at 10:00 am

ALEXANDER SAYS HE WILL VOTE AGAINST UPCOMING CLOTURE VOTE ON IMMIGRATION BILL

June 22nd, 2007 - “I will vote against cloture to end debate on the current immigration bill when it comes before us next week. Other than the war on terror, there is nothing more important than fixing our broken immigration system, and we must keep working on it for as long as it takes to get it right, but right must include a process that earns the confidence of the American people, and this bill does not do that.

This problem has been years in the making and will take time to fix. We must secure the border first once and for all, verified by credible sources, without amnesty – you are here legally or you are not here. We also must make it easier for highly skilled workers to come to America to create jobs and expect and assist those here legally to become Americans by speaking our language and appreciating our history and culture.

I will oppose any bill that does not include these essential elements.â€

Corker will vote No and No on the bill his Washington office said and his Chattanooga office.

    Call to confirm and thank.

Jeremy is the young man to call and thank for Senator Alexander finally listening to the American People. I believe he works in the Nashville Office. He spent a very long time to actually listen to the voices of those who opposed the Senate Bill and why we were not buying or agreeing to Senator Alexander's attempts to make this horrible bill better.

Good. It's about time he made up his mind the right way.

I realize the urge (and political expediency) of congratulating these senators on their announced NO votes, but frankly, rejecting amnesty should be SOP and it shows just how much our tolerance of racial/superiority/grievance groups and mass lawbreakering has screwed up this nation, that we are actually surprised and overjoyed when our elected officials finally decide to defend the rule of law.

They should do this every single day - it's their job.

No one congratulates me for doing my job every day. Just a thought.
