Thread: A few items of fact/logic to potentially dispel ignorance

I was considering this today in light of all the rhetoric I hear from the pro-illegal camp. Mostly, the anti-European shreiking and race baiting. I thought I might share a few tidbits of fact and/or logic that you might use as argumentative fuel. This is BY NO MEANS a complete list, and if anyone has more to offer please comment! I actually have tried to provide some of this to cut through some benighted ignorance of an American hater, but to no avail ( I tried, though). THis is by no means a slam on any race or background, I am of very mixed heritage myself (not the least of which is Navajo), so that is not the spirit in which I offer this.
These are mostly applicable for the 'we hate the white european devils' propaganda.

1) Your 'debate partner' is most likely a Spanish-speaker. This is an Ibero-Romance language (Latin based). Dialectical variations and evolution over the centuries notwithstanding, it developed in EUROPE. They are speaking a European based language. Unless their primary language is Nahuatl, or Yucatec Maya, or any other Mesoamerican dialects (and they are speaking it), they are hypocrites.

2) They are most likely Catholic, which as far as I understand is a religious denomination founded in- you guessed it- Europe!! Unless they are actively practicing the pre-Columbian spiritual practices of their tribal ancestors, they are hypocrites.

3) Ask their full names. My guess is that it is a Hispanic surname- that indicates a strong possibility that some ancestor along the line was SPANISH, i.e., European.

So, all this might lead someone with a modicum of intelligence to see that they , too, are likely at least part European, and perhaps not as racially disparate from some modern Americans as they insist that they are.

Again, I offer this with the intention only of fact, not racial superiority at all (as i have said in other posts, I have many good friends of latino heritage and they are wonderful folk indeed). This is in the attempt to elucidate someone on the invalidity of their racial hatred (I have seen alot of it from the pro-amnesty side of late, and some from the other side too unfortunately). Perhaps this may highlight that it is a matter of LAWS, and not origin or skin color. THanks for taking the time to read this!!

You're essentially right. That's why I told all my Mexican friends to put down "White" in the race box in the census form since they all have some European blood in them (Spanish specifically). Their ethnicity is Hispanic, but their race is closer to White.
