TURBERCULOSIS CASE REPORTED AT FELCITA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

There are an extimated 30,000 Illegal aliens living in Escondido, California today, although I suspect the number is much higher today. Their kids have to go to school somewhere, and since this school is listed on web sources of being 88% Hispanic, I would suspect that some of them go here. Don't count on the media releasing any further information whether they have it or not. This is a taboo Area for media reporting.

TB case reported at Felicita Elementary

ESCONDIDO -- Local school and health officials are investigating the possibility of nearly 70 students, teachers and staff from Felicita Elementary School may have been exposed to tuberculosis by an elementary school student on campus.

San Diego County Health and Human Service Agency officials said Wednesday that individuals involved with an after-school Support Our Schools program run by Palomar YMCA at the school may have been exposed to tuberculosis in classrooms 27 and 41 between Nov. 1, 2006 and May 16.

A child enrolled in the program, during that time period, was said to have a persistent cough and exhibited the symptoms of tuberculosis. Since being examined by county health officials on May 16, however, he has been removed from the program, said Dr. Wilma Wooten, Interim County Deputy Public Health Officer.

Wooten added that there is a "high likelihood" that those who participated in the program during that time period were exposed to the airborne bacterial infection, and that they should be tested for tuberculosis.

"We are informing people that if you were in this particular class, since Nov. 1, 2006 through May 16, then you are at a potential risk of getting tuberculosis," Wooten said.

The county health and human services agency and Escondido Union School District Officials will be offering skin tests on campus next week, she said.

If other children or adults test positive for the infection, Wooten said it is treatable and they will follow through with further testing, chest screening and treatment.

Symptoms of active tuberculosis include persistent cough, fever, night sweats and unexplained weight loss.

During 2006, there were 315 total cases of tuberculosis reported in San Diego County.

Despite that the staff do a wonderful job of melting many very low students, with those much higher. Fine school in a tough to teach area."

I sent in my comment along with some data from the CDC. They probably won't print it.

OK now......................Bathtub cheese? So, the people I see walking around here with those white buckets of cheese, they are making this stuff homemade, in their filthy bathtubs? This is beyond sick!

Makes me wonder how the other foods they keep trying to sell us are being made?

Well this is the eight Wonder of the World. They actually posted my comments in response to the statement that the # of US TB cases was declining.

The study that shows a decrease in the number of TB cases is based ONLY on cases that are reported. I am led to suspect that there are many cases that have not made it into that database, are untreated and pose a health hazard to citizens. The media should be alerting the community to this threat rather than trying to hush it up. From CDC: " Foreign-born persons and racial/ethnic minority populations continue to be affected disproportionately by TB in the United States. In 2006, the TB rate among foreign-born persons in the United States was 9.5 times that of U.S.-born persons." http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm5611a2.htm "

Obviously the timing of this outbreak would really hurt the illegals so of course they are going to try to surpress it. Hopefully someone can get the word out to our citizens.

Have not posted mine yet, guess my questioning their "keep-it-quiet" tactics because this was a potential illegal aliens child and politically un-correct for people to ask if this was brought in by illegal aliens, and called the newspaper/media as about as slimey as the politicians who would give amnesty to these TB infected illegals, well, maybe it was too much to the point for this paper?

My post never appeared and all I said was that I thought someone should get this story to someone that will investigate it.

Here is another story that comments are heavily censored:

Barona casino worker diagnosed with TB

    By: North County Times -
    MAY 25, 2007

BARONA ---- County health officials said Friday that they were working with Barona Valley Ranch and Casino officials after a kitchen worker there was diagnosed with tuberculosis ---- but that the risk to the general public was low because the worker did not come in contact with casino visitors.

County interim Public Health Officer Dr. Wilma Wooten said in a written statement that casino managers were working with the county to notify anyone who might have been exposed.

Jay Bart, risk manager for the resort and casino, said the worker was sequestered from the public in his kitchen job. Meanwhile, the national Centers for Disease and Control report that tuberculosis can only be spread via the air, and not by contact with food, utensils or other items touched or exposed to an infected person.

County officials said casino workers would be tested next week, to see if they had been exposed during the infection period from Jan. 16 through May 13.

Only when I came to California was testing manditory, I said "TB test who"? because it was an uncommon disease we defeated decades ago.
