DREAMers will begin 'educating' the public about bill.

From the various pro-DREAM posts I've read tonight, the DREAM lobby/activists plans to "educate" the public about the DREAM act. They claim that the public is misinformed and that the DREAM act is not an amnesty, and that DREAMers will not get tax payer benefits.

    We must counter their lies.

If we can explain to Americans that the DREAM act is a bill that will replace American students with illegal aliens, our chances of defeiting it in the future will increase.

Lets get our talking points together because the opposition is getting their lies ready to go.

Just like Obama Care, if you don't spell it out in the bill that they can't do something, then they will.

Give the Deamie amnesty, then they chain migrate the rest of the illegal aliens in their family.

    No thanks.

I remember reading somewhere that a GED is acceptable and that any higher education counts, not just college. They don't even have to pass whatever courses they take, just attend.

I can't remember the source though.

What is particularly worrisome about the bill is the power bestowed upon Janet Napolitano to waive any and all conditions set forth! It's a rather short bill, so I think the key is to just advise others to read the bill and judge for themselves.

We saw GED too, age up to 35, the govt is required to disprove the claim of the applicant, chain migration in place as they dont need to wait to bring family members over.

If they dont have to finish HS, even if they are here 5 years continously, and a ged is acceptable, that doesnt seem fair among all the other issues with the bill.

It was on the numbersusa site. The lady author did a good job of summing up all the key points.
