Flow Of Migrants Tests S. Florida Border Security

(CBS4) MIAMI 26 Cuban migrants were dropped off in the dark of the night Monday on Rickenbacker Causeway, but a boat which managed to elude Homeland security efforts to protect US borders. The group, like others in recent weeks, simply walked from the beach to the toll booth and asked a toll worker for help. That worker then called police.

The toll booth workers are pretty used to it. This is the third group of Cuban migrants to arrive at the same spot recently apparently making it a very popular spot for smugglers.

The borders are supposed to be protected by the US Coast Guard, which tried to explain to CBS4 Reporter Gary Nelson Monday why so many migrants are coming ashore, dropped by boats which discharge their passengers and leave undetected.
