This will eviscerate the rule of law.
We made some progress of convincing the world that our border is secured ...
We say we are doing 'border security'... but we really don't care.
It's ok if you get here, we really don't care. Bring your family, etc.
One of the key things that ought not to be dismissed by American people, there is not 1 provision in this to further enforcement. Everything there is about ignoring the consequences of violating the law. This is most distressing.
I encourage my colleagues.... the H2b provisions have no business being part of this bill.
1:39pm PT
Thanks for the updates. I hope Sen. Sessions is able to help convince enough of his colleagues.
1:40pm PT
Number of low-skilled H2b workers will soar.
300k in 2009,
275k in 2010,
etc
Over 1 mil entering over next 4 years.
These workers will be competing with US workers in construction, agriculture, etc. during a time of softening jobs situation.
Some say... This is not such a huge increase.,
Did we have any hearing on this? Did we consult the American people on this?
Hopefully, somehow, I hope we can move on the WS in a way that does not involve immigration bill.
I oppose AgJobs lite as vigorously as possible.
I was surprised to see this broad piece of legislation attached to the WS bill.
(Ends 1:42pm PT).
Sen Specter speaking...
I hope Senator Vitters speaks also
the Traitor Specter is up...he voted for the ags bill...the rat, notice he is not speaking of it, but he should be emarrassed
Phrede did you get this on tape so it can be put on YouTube? It would be great if we could do that and send it across in our address books and bombard the American citizens with this information.
SOSAD - yes, let's hope that core group of senators that jumped into the fray last time around don't hesitate to do so again.
Vitter, DeMint, and Sessions, of course, I think handled the floor rebuttal really well last time. Notable mention also to McCaskill, Dorgan, Ensign, Inhofe, Coburn, etc. for more specific but also strong questioning about various aspect of immigration legislation too.
Gogo - Sorry, don't have ability to digitally record via web (well, yet).
I wouldn't be surprised if someone, somewhere, has done so however.
I just called Feinstein's office and told them Sessions just exposed her agenda and when it hits the press she's gonna be blown out of the water. She needs to save face and pull it now!
Hope so, some people would rather listen and watch than read.Quote:
