Does Obama really want to bring up illegal immigration?

Today in Desperately Seeking Second Term, we find the president:

A. Pointing how his $787 billion stimulus dropped unemployment below the 7.8% he “inherited.”
B. Bragging about Obamacare.
C. Cutting the deficit in half as he promised.

The answer of course is D — look at the dinosaur over there. The first president in my lifetime with absolutely no positive accomplishment in a full first term is going to focus — like a laser — on illegal immigration.

From ABC News:

CARTAGENA, Colombia — President Obama, on a three-day trip to South America, attacked GOP frontrunner Mitt Romney’s stance on immigration reform today, saying his support for Arizona’s tough immigration law is “very troublesome.”
“We now have a Republican nominee who said that the Arizona laws are a model for the country … and these are laws that potentially would allow someone to be stopped and picked up and asked where their citizenship papers are based on an assumption,” Obama told Univision during an interview in Cartagena, where the president is attending the Summit of the Americas.

The Arizona law enforces existing U.S. law — the one that was overwhelmingly passed by a democratically elected group of people, to quote a minor ward healer from Chicago.

From the Hill:

“I can promise that I will try to do it in the first year of my second term,” Obama said in an interview with Univision set to air on Sunday. “I want to try this year. The challenge we’ve got on immigration reform is very simple. I’ve got a majority of Democrats who are prepared to vote for it, and I’ve got no Republicans who are prepared to vote for it.”

President Obama’s plan is the Aunt Zeituni/Uncle Onyango Plan, whereby if you jump the border and become an illegal alien, you will be given welfare, placed in public housing and be allowed to drive drunk however many times you want. Best of all, all your hospital visits will be covered by Medicaid. Plus illegal aliens will be allowed to vote. There is no need to show proof of identification to vote. If anyone tries, Eric Holder will sue the state.
