    Good Fences Make Good Neighbors

Illegal immigration has become a top tier issue in both political parties. Comprehensive immigration reform proposals have been heavily debated (and rejected) in Congress in recent years. The American people have made it clear to the politicians that they want the border secured and they want illegal immigration decisively dealt with first. Now, leading presidential candidates in both political parties are taking positions, addressing the issue either in campaign ads or in the debates.

And it’s no surprise why: A recent Pew Research poll found that 65% of Republican voters and 50% of Democrat voters considered illegal immigration a “very importantâ€

[quote]Moreover, I believe the fact that Calderon is injecting himself so forcefully into the debate tells us more about Mexico (and just how big our illegal immigration problem really is) than it does about the U.S. The fact is, the Mexican government sees “migrationâ€
Calderon was absolutely right when he said...."Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico".

The President of mexico needs to focus his time and energy on making his own country attractive for his wondering workers, instead of telling our country how to enforce,or not enforce in this case, our laws.

Exactly. I mean, can you imagine people risking their lives to leave the United States? What a national disgrace. Yet these scum bags in the Mexican government PROMOTE it. I just don't get Third World mentality.

The illegals from Mexico which are ungrateful and feel they are owed more and more, without any regards, respect and gratefulness, for the Individual Americans (who pay all of the tax money that pays for it) that have already given all they can give.

Isn't it amazing that the disillusioned and insane government of Mexico feels exactly the same??? USE, USE, USE. They have brainwashed their citizens well.

And what are we getting in return? We are a pawn in the government game.

Can't the ignorant people of Mexico see that their government is in bed with our government, and neither care anything about them? If their government cared, they would quit stealing from the Mexican People, and forcing them to go to the USA to steal from us, tax free.

Do we see this, and that our current leaders are selling us down the river?

Unfortunately the middle class of America is sold out the most. And we keep believing that we now have some politicians that will save us.

Our politicians keep running up our debt, with this and that and do they really think Mexico will help when it is important to us? Mexico has Oil and other resources. It should be a wealthy country. The same Mexican officials we be the only beneficiary of any wealth when the US has broken from the burden of immigration. We will be one giant landmass at the mercy of a few mega wealthy crooked politicans and businessmen. Our middle class will be pushed down to the realm of the poor. We export nothing, manufacture nothing desirable, and need resources from the rest of the world.

These same mexican people can't see that sooner or later, their government is going to confiscate their own "tax" money that is being sent back to Mexico.

If you think Mexican government should spend its money trying to get its own house in order, call the Mexican Embassy in Washington at (202) 728-1600. Tell them that America welcomes those who respect our laws, and that you believe good fences make good neighbors. Please be polite.
Wrong answer.. they need to be booted out of our country.. The Mexican government is trying to influence politics.. at that very point, diplomatic relations need to end
