Americans -- do your own yardwork!!
My God. I wake up today to go out and see like 20 illegals in my neighbor's yard, replacing mulch for them.
Whatever happened to buying your own, getting off your DUFF and raking it in yourself??
These are young, able-bodied people, my neighbors. The husband is usually home by 5 p.m. every night, so he'd definitely have time to do it himself. But, no -- they'd rather pay peanuts and have these SLAVES do it for them.
So, I get to get out of my car and be leered at as well by these ingrates.
Americans -- you're seriously LAZY. Get off your butts and do your own yard projects. Quit paying illegals to do it. For every one of them, there's a woman back in some qualid apartment living on the government dole popping out anchor children at the rate of one per year that we, the American taxpayer, has to support. I'm SO sick of this!!!!!! It's all around me here in Arlington/Falls Church, VA.
LAZY LIBERAL AMERICANS!!!!!!!!!

I agree! Anyone that hires an illegal alien is part of the problem. I always have done my own yard work. Even thought this winter wiped out most of my yard, I still went out and chopped down trees and cleaned up the mess my self. I am planting everything all over by myslef. I will not hire an illegal alien to do anything in my home.

Hey Jimm, I can dig it. I take care of 5 acres for my aging Uncle. Roll the ground flat, thattch it seed it , and everything else. Even keep the trees trimmed up with a polesaw, handsaw, clippers, and poleclip. Rake it all up, make a burn pile, get a permit, and clean up the mess. Yep, it takes time, but it keeps the arthritis at bay.

I do mine, unless you count child labor - my own grown sons, that is. A few years back I hired a guy to mow, but he was a local American like me. These days nobody gets hired, I need the exercise.

I enjoy doing that type of yardwork. I hope to mow a few neighbor's lawns if I can get a mower soon.
Sometimes the problem is that you hire a company to do something for you, (maybe you are disabled, etc) and you have no idea what you're getting. I guess this is where research comes into play. Unfortunately, most people aren't going to go to the trouble of researching the company. They just want the work accomplished.
I helped a local landscaper in Alexandria, VA (where I used to live) for about a year in 2007-08, and when we would mulch, it was just me, the owner, and his best friend who would go out and do the job (for houses with a quarter to half acre of land). The only people in the company on a regular basis were the owner and his friend. My point is, it only took 3 of us to do this work, so alot of places don't need 8 or 10 or 15 people at once. But they do it because they pay the illegals very little, the job gets done faster, and they can move onto the next project quickly. The owners of these companies actually charge the homeowners alot for their services...just that the illegal employees see very little of the pay.

jjmm, too bad we are across the entire nation from you, I have a 16 year old that is always willing to do any kind of work. Why hire potential illegals when you can hire a local teen and keep them out of trouble while giving the a way to make some cash?
Personally, I find a lot of satisfaction from making my own place look nice, and paying someone is simply out of the question anyways, but those who do usually will try to say they are too tired to do it, then they pay to go to a gym to workout! I think it has more to do with their perception of "dirty work" and they just do not want to have to get their hands dirty."In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, Brave, Hated, and Scorned.
