The immigration bill, according to its critics, hands out amnesty to illegal immigrants as soon as some ineffectual steps toward enforcement are taken. Don’t believe it. The bill provides amnesty as soon as it is enacted.

The Z-Visa is giving amnesty to all 20-30M illegals! We need not read any further in the legislation! It's all about the Z-Visas!!!

The Z-Visas are renewable forever.

The 20-30M illegals already here can bring in their spouses, children, parents, brothers and sisters! That means conceivably that ONE ILLEGAL CAN EASILY BRING IN FOUR MEMBERS OF A FAMILY! Am I reading this correctly??? Please tell me I'm mistaken!!!

20M ILLEGALS CAN SWELL TO 80M NEW ILLEGALS IN THE SPACE OF ONE YEAR! Oops, make that 80M "formerly illegal"!

There are only 100M people left in Mexico and 2/3 of that population are the illiterate, itinerant underclass. The US could conceivably take in the ENTIRE underclass of Mexico!

And then we have the rest of Latin America and Central America, Asia, etc.

PLEASE TELL ME I'M MIS-INTERPRETTING ALL OF THIS!

Actually, I think the reality might even be worse than you presume.

Under the provisions of the new un-hum, 'bill', the only basis by which IAs can be denied the Z visa is if they fail the background check. What goes unmentioned most of the time here, is that written into the text of the bill is that DHS is given only 24 hrs to complete the background check for a specific individual (upon receipt of the application).

(As someone else here said in the last day or two - can you recall ANYTHING the Fed Gov't can accomplish within 24 hrs? It's a good question.)

If, for some reason, the background check cannot be accomplished within that time limit, then... low and behold, the wisdom of the bill says basically, 'go ahead and give 'em the visa anyway'.

Some much for 'homeland security', eh?

I suppose you can't blame them. They may be their only defense from, "We the People".

Some of the talk show hosts are calling this immigration Amnesty plan "Christmas" for illegals. They get everything we have and even more!
