FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MAY 5, 2006

“CELEBRATE CITIZENSHIP” RALLY PLANNED FRIDAY

(Apple Valley) Conservative Republican and leading candidate for the

59th Assembly District Barry Hartz announced a “Celebrate

Citizenship” Rally will be held along Bear Valley Road on the public

sidewalk in front of Arbys and Home Depot, this Friday May 5th from

5:00pm to 6:30pm.

“We have had an overwhelming response to my announcement that our

campaign website was taking postings of those businesses that closed on

May 1 in our area during my appearance on a local radio program.

There was a groundswell of support for a positive pro-citizen show of

support to offset the May 1 demonstration in support of illegals so the

Celebrate Citizenship Rally was born”, according to Hartz.

“We want everyone to bring an American Flag to carry around, we will

have immigration statistics, a petition letter you can use with your

elected representatives, a list of their names and addresses plus a list of

all the businesses that closed in the Victor Valley area on May 1. We see

this as a time to share information and have law abiding citizens gather

to show some pride in legal immigration and our pride in our own

citizenship”, said Hartz.

Campaign representative Cliff Moore said that although Hartz

campaign material will be available at the Rally this isn’t an “anti

anything demonstration or pro-government rally, it’s about celebrating

those who came before us, followed the rules, assimilated and

prospered”.
