No more Press 1 for English?
Has anyone noticed lately that when you call a company, they removed their "press 1 for English" message? I noticed on 2 calls this week, instead a voice comes on telling people to press 2 for Spanish (in spanish, of course).
I'm still waiting for them to offer other language options besides spanish....Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

My Brazilian friend and I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and in addition she knows French and German. But, she says she is NOT interested in having ANY OTHER language options for GENERAL use in OUR country EXCEPT for ENGLISH! And I AGREE!

In parts of Dallas, you get to press 2 for English.

They are private enterprises and can do as the wish. That said, one can choose not to buy their product or use their services.
Government forms and services in other languages is entirely different. My Taxes are paying that bill!! And that is upsetting.

There was a big big stink here in Vegas in 2004 . It seems most
of the Vegas post offices ran out of ENGLISH voter registration
forms , All they had were spanish
We raised the roof over that one and I really tweaked the Vegas voter registrar over that one , Along with other people , it was ugly
