This is a news story but it reminded me of my OTM, which still occasionally itches.

Since we are always making the analogy that illegal aliens are unwelcome house guests, I felt this was fitting. Also, I actually admire the intrusive alien, in the following article because he self deported.

SAN ANGELO — After being jolted from sleep by the sound of a window breaking in his living room, Sterling Cox grabbed a handgun and prepared to confront an intruder. Trying to focus without his glasses, he saw a huge figure.

“Freeze!” Cox yelled.

Instead of freezing, a deer rose up on its hind legs.

“Whom do you call to get a deer out of your house?” Cox remembers thinking as he retreated to his bedroom.

Minutes later, the deer, bleeding from glass cuts, left through the same shattered window it had entered around 7 a.m. Friday. The living room was left with blood-splattered walls and carpet and shattered glass.

“I was in shock,” said Cox, 58, whose town house faces a lake.

Bill Eiler, a neighbor, was fishing on the lake when he saw the deer break through the window.

Eiler said he saw two deer swim the small lake and walk up to Cox’s home. While one deer stood on the lawn, the other broke through the window.

Afterward, both deer swam back across the lake, he told the San Angelo Standard-Times.

“Maybe I’ll put some corn outside and feed the deer like I feed the birds,” Cox joked. “That way, they won’t have to come inside to eat.”

But, at least they both went back home!

That's about as bad as 2 years ago in busy downtown High Point during lunch hour, people were packed inside eating lunch at Mayberry Ice Cream Parlor when all of a sudden a full grown buck came crashing through the big plate glass window and made it's way to the back of the resturant, wondered around about 5 minutes then made it's way back out the same window it came in by. Cut the deer pretty good they said. Now this on a main street that's busy in a downtown section of town.

I wondered if he saw is reflection and thought it was a rival. Sounds like they were both large windows.

Same thing happened to some old lady a few weeks back. I think the baby some how got into the house and the momma deer, needless to say was not happy about the visit.
